What transpired publicly from the team after Spa, was as close to you will get to the team hanging him out to dry for a collision that was not overtly reckless (he didn't do a Maldonado swipe) and was a matter of 10cm in it either way.

The way that they carried on anyone would have thought he side swiped Hamilton halfway down Kemmel straight. Now we don't know what transpired afterwards in the garage, but I would say that that incident, combined with a rather muted congrats from the team has solidified in Nico's mind that perhaps the team while trying to be as even as they can would rather their high profile signing to win it.

Especially for someone in Nico's position who will still have Mercedes' reaction to Spa on his mind.

And what about Monaco? Or have we all conveniently ignored how the team made sure to protect Nico from the attention of the media and stewards?

You're reading too much into Wolff's comments about the season finale.

Yes, the team did protect him at Monaco. Which contrasted massively with their treatment of him at Spa. So I would not be surprised if he felt that the team are not in his corner any more.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

You make your bed, you lie in it. Right? Nico caused his own issues so has to deal with the outcome, same for Lewis and Alonso in 2007 or Lewis in 2011 or Alonso in 2012. But that doesn't mean Wolff's comment about the season finale mean he's favoring Lewis.

On twitter (tweet by Olav Mol) I just read that the Red Bull front wing flexes too much during the FIA scrutiny. They could be excluded if true.

They will either have to replace the wings, or race under appeal. They won't be excluded lol

Excluded from qualifying he means. Which they should be if the FIA have any sense.

Oh wait...

Seems the flaps are designed to flex.

They wouldn't have been daft enough not to bring another wing configuration would they? :tumble:

That's irrelevant. Red Bull would be able to manufacture a solution to the existing wings to prevent them from over flexing.

I heard it when they said that, Said that he was told that by a local who said rain was expected over the next 24hrs & that its expected to be exceptionally heavy with some risk of flooding.

All the weather reports however saying no rain at all.

Notice the

"But, but, other teams are doing it too."

This could be interesting.

Other teams were doing it too when Red Bull were exploiting the flexible wing rules a few years ago as well.

I hope Rosberg wil do something like Lorenzo did in the MotoGP last year.
But with that shitty DRS that's probably not possible.

Or he have to try to bring one Williams between them, and then not creating a gap more than 1s, so the Williams Car have still DRS available to hold Hamilton off. It's his only chance, and a chance for us to enjoy the race.

Buxton's pointed out that the other teams were tested as well, RB were singled out because they failed the test.
