No he isn't allowed to buy alcohol, since the beginning of this year the minimum age went from 16 to 18.

Don't know about the sex, but don't care either.

even beer? I thought you also made the distinction between low alcohol (beer) and high (strong liquors)

Exactly. In the past we did make the distinction you mentioned Omega, 16 years for low alcohol and 18 years for high but it's all 18 now.

Hope you'll still call us civilized. :p

race is on at Sunday 3pm; basically unchanged.

It will be a non-event probably.

Not a bad effort from Verstappen first time in an F1 practice and first time at the hardest track on the calendar.

(Been at work only just catching up :) )

Race is planned to proceed as scheduled on Sunday. It might still be moved forward to the morning/noon.

Decision on race start time will be made, apparently, by 12pm Japanese time on Saturday.

Obviously shifting the start time a few hours earlier would be logical, as with darkness at 5.30pm local it only gives a 2.5 hour window for racing, should conditions be terrible. A race on Monday is not an option.

I wish they'd do that here. Too many irritating drunk 16 year olds.

Perfect statement! An 12pm start would be the best decision they could take, it would give the race a window of the same size as the 5 hours limit the rules set. Anyway, I still don't believe the typhoon will hit Suzuka with such strenght to cause problems for the race, but as Charlie only allows races that are good enough for inters (I don't know why they have full wets by the way) it's good to be in a safe side with the start at 12pm. One thing I'm sure about, the rain there won't be as hard as it was in Fuji in 2007 (even with a typhoon surrounding), that's for sure. The rain in Shizuoka region is always harder!

intermediate: damp tarmac with no rain and light rain
full wets: wet tarmac with working drainage, light to medium

anything harder than that "the cars can't handle". Well, handling was ok in Monaco 84, Spa 97 and 98. Dunno why they bitch with weather. If there aren't any flood is ok to race

These AstroTurf runoffs are going to cause a huge crash if it's even slightly wet on Sunday.
Lewis already had a big enough moment on one in the dry :8:

Have to be a pretty shit driver to run over the astroturf when going at 60mph.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.
