They should not force mandatory stops, That would hurt the racing just as mandatory stops have just about everywhere else its been tried.

Also whats so bad with 1 stop races? I'd much rather we have proper tyres that allows a driver to push & not have to cruise around to a lap delta, Be constantly told to manage his pace to look after the tyres & have situations where drivers are having to ask if there allowed to race the guys around them.

Im growing increasingly irritated with the current F1, I hate the DRS but am also growing tired of constant tyre & pace management. Seeing drivers like Lewis Hamilton who used to be exciting to watch having to cruise around in pace management mode is far from exciting, Its getting to the point where its boring.

The last race at COTA was not dull because it was a 1-stop race, It was dull because of the pace/tyre management. You hear the radio calls where drivers are told to maintain a gap to the car ahead in order to watch the tyres & its exactly the same with 2/3 or even 4-stop races (Go watch Barcelona again).

Last year at COTA it was also a 1-stop race, However there was very little (If any) pace/tyre management going on & so we got to see some proper battles, Some great racing & some brilliant non-DRS overtaking into turn 1 & the race featured a total of 67 on-track overtakes with a pretty even split DRS/Non-DRS moves.

I can live with DRS. Sometimes it is helpful, sometimes it does look all too easy and passes are no longer giving me an adrenaline shot. But overall the idea of DRS I can live with.

But regarding tyres, I would really want to see:
1)different tyre makes
2)different tyre compounds
3)and let the drivers decide if they want to do a 3stop, 2stop, 1stop or even no stop at all! Or even like in the old days that 'le professeur' put a C on the left front, a B on the right front etc.
4)I could live with one thing is that they have to start the race with the same tyres they ended qualifying.

The problem is that when you have four stop races, a lot of the overtaking isn't real because drivers are just so far off of each others strategies. DRS isn't a useless idea if it assists rather than provides a free pass. What you don't want is when it just becomes a driver cruising past the other. Open it up for use anywhere on circuit, let them use it for x seconds per race and introduce some strategy into it.

Another issue is that reliability created the unpredictable factor for many years, then refuelling meant there was always some strategy, but now you almost need to contrive something to make it more engaging. 1 stop races can be thrilling but sometimes you need extenuating circumstances. Even 2/3 stop races can be dull - sometimes it's just random circumstances, such as in Germany, that make races engaging.

Also, I think the orange sidewalls look crap. I know Pirelli has four compounds but could they not just have say, a red for option and nothing for prime? They did it to an extent with the 'silver' sidewall in 2012.

Yeah i also wondered last years USA had manny great battles, while 2013 it was poor? So what happened??
I was just watching a bit the Macao crashes.. and wondered why does F1 not drive there?? Replace it with Shanghai!
Or the Macao safety standards are low for F1?? Probably that...

yeah, looks way more dangerous compared to Monaco for a F1 car. But it would look cool though. But it will never happen.

I'm fine with F1 at Macau, as long as they let drivers use DRS through Mandarin Oriental Bend.

Yday was informed about a potential US #F1 Team, and today in a different State, someone unrelated mentioned the same name behind it.

He's the secretary of FOTA by the way.

2014 is too soon, nothing has been announced yet, no engine supplier, drivers or even a small confirmation. If I was starting an F1 team I would like to get as much publicity as possible. Maybe they'll enter in 2015, but can't see them entering in 2014.

If it's a new team.

I recon Lotus is still up for graps. Sauber still is rumored to be unstable financially. Enough Rumors about Malya and Force India. Marrussia might be bored already. Red Bull is secretly still looking to ditch STR according to rumors.

I can remember only 3 US teams (not based in USA though) like Parnelli, Penske and Haas Lola

all of them got points finish, some success in those days where you lacked reliability

I don't think that's what Micha was referring too.
