As the topic says. You are allowed to pick a total of three drivers.

Well anyone who gets to F1 is talented. I'd change it to 'who has had the worst 2011' personally because you could say Massa, but anyone who has won 11 races has talent.

In terms of the least talented, probably Karthikeyan, d'Ambrosio and Chandhok. But all three are damn good driver up against some of the best we've ever had

Maldonado, Trulli, Karthikeyan

They're the 3 that I'd choose, although I didn't see Chandhok on the list, so I went for Felipe baby.

lol at the Massa votes.

Anyway, I thought during the race today, that F1 today is so niche, and there's no way these drivers are the best 24 in the world like some like to think. I know he didn't race today, but look at Liuzzi at the Gold Coast for an example.

Well yeah exactly, I mean you have 7 or 8 drivers in F1 who you could really say are either past it, or just not good enough - Barrichello, Trulli, Senna maybe, Petrov maybe, Maldonado, d'Ambrosio, Karthikeyan/Liuzzi.

An ideal line up would be to get Kubica back in the Renault and pair him up with Grosjean, get Kimi in the Williams alongside Sutil and put Hulkenberg in the Force India. Oh, and get rid of Massa for anyone really. There's a lot of good guys out of a drive or simply in a car that doesn't show their talents.

I think Webber is also one who is "past it". If you look at the domminance from Vettel you can't believe he has only led 17 laps this whole season.

But haven't Red Bull got it perfectly? Webber taking enough points for the WCC, Vettel easily winning the WDC. Putting another driver alongside Sebastian could jeopardise this.

But 2012 will be crucial for a lot of drivers. Barrichello is likely out this season, but after next year you could have Massa gone, Trulli going, Schumacher maybe retiring again. Lots of potential for midfield changes.

Ideally Red Bull would want a driver who can actually finish 2nd when Vettel coasts away at an incredible pace.

Karthikeyan, Liuzzi, Trulli... Barrichello this year.

But out of Webber, Alguersuari, Buemi, Ricciardo and Vergne, I'd still take Webber for 2012 (as they have done). Alguersuari is turning into a proper grand prix driver now though and should be a firm candidate by 2013.

Raikkonen is also semi-RedBull. Not sure if he can beat supertalented Vettel, but he would do a better job than Webber. Plus he is like 100x more popular than Webber, which is great from a marketing point of view.

Maybe my vote for Massa was more of a 'who is having a crap season', rather than least talented. Obviously he's proven himself pretty good in the past.

And if Kimi comes back I expect him to take at least a season to get back up to speed, and even then I don't think he'll do that well.

it's hard to say they are the least talented. they are the slowest, but are also in the slowest cars and haven't driven anything else

That's true. Chandhok had some good races at HRT when people expected he would be crushed by Senna.
d'Ambrosio has been hailed for his development work and has never been too much of Glocks pace.
Karthikeyan I think is the least talented, he never really prooved anything in other series and is obveously hired for his money.

Hence my original point - you can't say least talented because all 24 got to F1 by having talent.

It's much easier to say to people to produce a list of the 28 drivers this season, rank them and say why. Because it differs from season. Barrichello is having a bloody awful season, but that doesn't equal bad talent. Two years ago he was winning races.

Luigi, easily.

Karthikeyan and Liuzzi, of course. The third one was a bit hard: I think Maldonado got some potential, but he didn't show it. Trulli has become just slow and useless. I voted Maldonado just because Trulli would be too easy

thread title might be better if you'd change it to 'who has dissappointed you the most in 2011'? Because I wouldn't say Barrichello or Massa don't have talent, but for some reason they have dissappointed me a lot. The same goes for Lewis, he did some good things, but overall he was dissappointing, the same for Webber.

So for drivers that disappointed me the most: d'Ambrosio (I was hoping he would beat Glock), Barrichello (one year too much?), Webber (where is the Webber from last year?)

Liuzzi, Narain and d'Ambrosio for me. None of them have shown to be worth the drives at any point this year and are only there purely through money.
