For starters, there will ee significantly more rain at some point.

Pirelli also anticipate much greater tyre wear. No more one-stoppers.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

According to the F1 people in Kuala Lumpur, the weather has been very unpredictable and hot.

Autosport seemed to suggest that there will be showers during qualifying and perhaps the race.

As for if it stays dry, this might be an 'Oh shit' reaction after qualifying when we see just how fast the Red Bulls are. More aero dependant corners and long straights won't hurt them if they can get the KERS working. I think Ferrari will be ahead of McLaren this weekend as well.

Well it's located on the equator, so it's rather obvious that weather changes are frequent and unpredictable =)

Yah, we know you can't predict the weather at Sepang until hours before the sessions.

And yeah Phil, I fear RB will be even more ahead of the field this weekend, IF it's dry.

From what I can just guess, at aero dependant tracks in 2010, Red Bull dominated in all but Turkey really. In Malaysia they were comfortably 1-2. I think they - Vettel in particular - could be over 1s/lap faster

They will dominate S2, S1 & 3 depends on how much advantage KERS and DRS will provide.

Alex, if you want to bet, don't lose your money again betting in a Alonso win, put your money in a Vettel's pole as the odds are paying quite a good amount for such an almost certain thing.

Hamilton hasn't got a great record around Sepang plus I think the aero weaknesses of the McLaren will be exposed. How about a cheeky bet on Heidfeld?

I'd put a cheeky bet for Perez in the top 5/podium.

I wouldn't bet for race win. Even the best car has always a good chance of not finishing.

phil, I think Mclaren will remain 2nd team. Their aero is better than anybody else, RBR apart obviiously. ;)

Williams' pace looks very good, but the reliability isn't. Maldonado lasted 9 laps I think and Barrichello actually retired with a mechanical fault rather than accident damage.

@Artur - I don't know. I think the McLaren is good, but I don't think we've seen the best from Ferrari.

I would say either Sauber- the only reason Kamui couldn't do what Sergio did was because he burnt up all of his softs in qualifying and had to start on used softs by dint of getting into Q3.

The Sauber is clearly a tremendous package and probably manages the tyres better than any other car. At races such as Montreal they might lap the field.

I think that's an exaggeration considering that Perez finished a minute behind Vettel in Australia :p
