A few years ago 77 would have come up to be the Overtaking Rate from a whole Season

It doesn't boggle for me. There are amazing fanboys who will try and justify there driver overcoming incredible odds, no matter how shit they did. I had one on another forum tell me Webber was incredibly for overcoming the RBR bias and managing to qualify 18th. Some people are just full of shit, and this forum is no exception.

It'd go a long way if votes were public and we could see who was either being a moron, or deliberately trolling the polls.

In his defense, Schumacher had his best race of the year so far...

Heikki Kovalainen was faster than Sergio Perez and Pastor Maldonado

I don't think he was faster than Perez, he just crashed less.

Heikki wasn't faster than Perez, but he was faster than Maldonado. He finished ahead of him on merit.

There is something quite special about a battle for the lead that close to the end of the race. I think China was quite clear with 5 or 6 laps to go that Vettel was going to be passed. Whereas Suzuka I didn't actually expect Kimi to get by. Both were 10/10 races though. Maybe 9.5 if a better race happens (which it easily could this year!). :p

The most tense/intense battle for the win for me was that Nurburbring race that had Alonso and Massa touching cars at the right end. It was the one that made me go more insane than any other.

That Nurburgring race was fantastic,we could all say that, despite the middle part of the race was dull. We had rain twice and a fantastic lead fight.

But I think there is one thing that has to be considered here: China was a race that wasn't influenced the slightest bit by Safety Cars, rain, crashes and so on.
Suzuka 2005 was a cracker because of the rain in qualifying which resultet in a pretty chaotic starting grid. Under normal circumstances this race would certainly have been an average F1 race. Nürburgring was similar as you pointed out DinoMarko93.
Take Silverstone 2003 for instance: brilliant battles throughout the entire race thanks to the Neil Horan's appearance.
China was clean, dry and without anything that could have affected the outcome as such. And I think this is why it was such an remarkable experience.

I think what this year showed was that in Australia, you kinda need a Lap 1 SC. We had a good race, but in previous years we didn't, thanks to no lap 1 SC. For example, 2007. Big field spread in Melbourne after 1 lap.

China had some ackward moments in qualyfing this year with Webber in q1 and Petrov stopping in q2. It wasn't rain but that helped. Still, witouth it, Webber probably will take the same strategy of Vettel and what would be different would only be the fight mid pack probably would be less intense. But at the front Webber would also be in the way of the McLarens and Ferraris, making more fights for the lead pack.
Another thing to maybe consider, and that's the most influenciating thing to me, it's not Kers or DRS, or the Tilke's tracks, nor the anti-aerodinamic rules. It's the Pirelli tyres, they're changing every concept as how a F1 race is in a lot of ways. The other elements are only colaborating for the overtakes being more possible. But the tyres made something really amazing. I just want to see them at a more difficult track to overtake.

Anyway, this is by far the best dry race.

Another thing about Suzuka 2005, the championship wasn't at stake anymore. And probably that what made them make some very risky moves. Passing with one wheel on the grass and other things. Probably if Koba drove those days he would've made some overtakes where others never dreamed of.

Easy choice. Hamilton. Webber had a good drive with all his NEW sets of tyres left after his epic fail in qualifying.
