With only 4 rounds left the Title battle is closer than ever with only one point seperating Lewis Hamilton and Felipe Massa. With a bit of luck and the poor showing of both Massa and Hamilton in the second half of the Italian race, everyone's favourite Pole has hoisted himself up into an outside shot of the World Drivers Championship.
As things currently stand.

Code:
Lewis Hamilton  78
Felipe Massa    77
Robert Kubica   64

However 3 of the next 4 races could potentially be rain affected, is this the most "rain race" season we have had? With Singapore potentially being wet [although its still a good two weeks away], Japan was a deluge last year and being located near the mountains is a possibility and Shanghai has been wet the past two years.
Brazil hasnt been wet since 2003 and who would bet against Massa there anyway?

With regards to the constructors title Mclaren closed up on Ferrari again as Kimi Raikkonen failed to score for the third race in succession and reliability problems for Ferrari have meant they havent had both drivers score since Hockenheim in July. A string of podiums and consistency for BMW have hoisted them back up with an outside chance of the title.

Code:
Ferrari     134
Mclaren     129
BMW Sauber  117

If it remains dry surely Massa/Ferrari are favourites for the title? Mclaren have never won at Shanghai and havent won in Brazil since the MP4-20 days of 2005. However if it's wet who would bet against Lewis Hamilton?

With regards to the constructors i feel Mclaren will get it. Raikkonen still hasnt seem to cure his tyre issues and if it rains it only makes the problem worse. And a point scoring Finn in a silver car trumphs a no/little scoring Finn in a Red one as i expect Massa/Hamilton to be close.

I've left the poll open till Singapore Qualifying.

I'll be happy with either Massa, Hamilton or Kubica. Voted for Massa, mind - forgetting Silverstone he's really come of age as the season has gone on.

As a fan, I like all 3 drivers, so it doesn't really matter to me who wins it.

It's going to depend on the weather, and on the result of McLaren's appeal. If it's mostly wet, then I can see Kubica coming from behind to win it. If it's mostly dry, it will probably be Massa's to lose. But if McLaren win their Spa appeal, then Hamilton will have a cushion that in my opinion will be enough to secure the title.

I think Massa will win it as i think that Hamilton will end up screwing it up again.

Although it's extremely unlikely on normal conditions, I'll vote Kubica for the championship. To "ensure" it I have also placed a bet against me, so if Kubica wins it, I'll lose my bet to my friend. It wouldn't be first time when playing against yourself works.

I think I'd ultimately go for Hamilton, but I'd actually love it for Massa to win it in front of his home crowd.

I want Kubica to win so much that it physically hurts.

What about 4 chaotic races with Heidfeld finishing 2nd in all of them and walking off with the title.

Where's Kimi :p

Just kidding, with him confirmed as second, I think it's Massa who takes it, though I would love to see Kubica winning it, just imagine the awesomeness. 8)

Plus one. I can see Hamilton taking it, somewhat annoyingly as I don't think I'll be able to like him with what that will do to his already annoying press persona but I would love to see Massa celebrating a world championship in Brazil ...

That or Kubica ...

I would vote for Räikkönen as once again majority of people have left him outside the championship runner-ups. He needs a miracle, but that's just what everyone said after last years Monza. Don't take this as a fanboy-talk, I'm just pointing out that he should be included as he still has some kind of chances.

I voted Massa, cos you just know Hamilton's going to knob it up at some point like last year.

Kubica winning would be amazing though.
