Suzuka is unquestionably my favorite circuit in the F1 calendar. Albeit it's not a street circuit, it's more challenging than all street circuits (bar Monaco perhaps). One mistake and you're in the barrier, as the gravel traps are not tilke-standardized. It's a great challenge, and that's why it has also been the favorite circuit of so many drivers like Vettel, Hamilton, Alonso, Button, Bottas, Ocon and Sainz (at least before last year ). Just watching drivers doing hot laps in free practice is enough to get me excited. Not many circuits manage to do that. Sadly, after this there's only one classic circuit left, i.e. Interlagos. So it really feels the season is coming to the end, even though it won't end until November 26. Well, Las Vegas round interests me somewhat, but the rest are just fillers. This time there seems to be no risk of rain-delayed sessions. Good, because the last thing you want is waking up in middle of the night just to realize there won't be any running. Pretty hot, actually. Over +30°C. |

Now why can't he run demo laps in a (modified to biofuel!) old Jordan in it's Buzzin' n Hornets livery to promote this? |

Time to hit the sack to get proper sleep before FP1. Don't know if it's possible, because I'm usually at my sharpest before midnight. See you in 8 hours! |

Cool to see Vettel at the circuit. Makes me realise that I actually miss him on the grid. |

Yeah, his evolution into a young version of a kindly old man at the end of his career has been a fun and endearing turn of events. |
