pro-tip. Get some masking tape and tape up P1 in the running order. Race might get interesting then

Rain around on Friday and Saturday, dry Sunday.

By how many seconds will Max win this time?

Everyone say Canadian GP is always exciting. I don't remember anything from last year though.

Expect all weekend promo clips to heavily feature the wall of champions

Forgetting the fact hardly anyone has hit it since they switched to HD and all the clips end up being pretty fuzzy these days, especially on big screens

since they took the grass away from the runoff on the chicane is much worth to cut it at low speed than risk riding the wall

Another track that's been a victim of the current size of the cars.

F2 would be very interesting here. The schedule feels so empty without the feeder series. Instead of Sakhir, Jeddah and Yas Marina, F2 should support F1 in Montreal, Suzuka and Interlagos. Alas, it's never going to happen...on the other hand, I didn't expect them to ever appear in Australian GP either.

Was in Montreal about a month ago for a few days and decided to walk the track. They were still in the midst of setting up all the infrastructure and doing some upgrades in the main paddock building. The setting really is beautiful though with the river and forested park in the middle and city skyline in the distance. Really struck me just how narrow the track is in person. Definitely not ideal for these new generation of long heavy boats.

None of the classic "guaranteed action" tracks have actually had guaranteed action in the hybrid/Pirelli era. The proximity of the barriers means nothing when everyone's saving tyres and engines, 10 seconds off quali pace

This was the place (in 2011?) where the idea for Pirelli's high deg tyres originated.
How great it seemed at first, how crap it has turned out.

Mostly that was down to the teams in 2013.

The problem is the teams now know what to expect, back in that race it was a lolwhatisgoingon situation

2010 actually, the only race all year that Bridgestone had any fall off

and it was mostly because of a botched revamp that put the track in jeopardy

then in 2011 the race was a washout and the risk of losing this race was raised to 11

I still like the year when the tarmac was coming up (2007?) and everyone was losing it at the hairpin

2x 2 passes in one corner? Yes please! Nick Heidfeld was cool that race
