Sad to see the photos from that region. Didn't they get hammered with flooding last month too?

I believe two weeks ago and those were pretty awful too.

It seems that in recent years there have been either floods or droughts - nothing in between - in Southern Europe. :tumble:

Should have cancelled it weeks back and run Mugello instead

Yeah because they knew what the weather was going to do weeks back and also changing grand prix locations only weeks in advance is logistically a walk in the park

Update will be given at 2pm local. F1 paddock is fine but the support paddock is flooded as well as the road between Faenza and Imola.

I don't speak much Italian, but I think I can just about translate 'cancellato'.

Officially canceled.

There's already rumours floating around that it could move to the weekend after Spa and the summer break would be shortened.

Mugello region is also in danger because of the weather, so what would that change?

Never expected to see this day happen. Quite extraordinary.

It would make more sense to put Zandvoort the week after Spa, since they are close to each other. And then put Imola on the Zandvoort slot end of August, a week before Monza.

As an alternative TV program for the weekend we got the Indy 500 qualifying, so it won't be boring anyway. Actually I hope Sky Sports F1 will directly replace wherever the race would be with Indycar content.

Now that Monaco is next, it also means we'll have 5 consecutive street races. If there will floods at Barcelona, we'll end up with 6 street races in a row.

Doubt they'll do that, if they didn't move Baku when they knew China was cancelled, so they probably can't move Zandvoort either.
