I don´t understand why Red Bull thought, hey, there´s a car stuck on track on a dangerous position. Let´s pit Max now! Aaaaaw, SC, who could have seen that coming!

Standard Baku race, terrible track for racing if there's no crashing and restarts.

Why did they introduce these new cars? I don't think the racing is any better than with the old cars. The commentators are always mentioning how they can follow much closer, but I don't see it. Huge waste of money. They'd better kept the 2021 cars and applied the windtunnel time limit and budget cap to those cars.

They were unquestionably better at racing in 2022, red bull getting a jump on everyone kinda masked that
The thing is F1 teams put so much effort into aero, and indeed making their aero wash as dirty as possible is a big thing they look into to try and ensure they're not overtaken, so even 1 year after a reg change, it gets worse. It'll get worse again every season tbh

And the 2017 regs were a big mistake, if they'd done nothing to them, it'd be even worse than now.

At least they look better.... :whistling:

I guess they gambled on a VSC coming out. If it was a VSC instead of a SC they would've looked like heros, and if it came out and they'd gone by pit exit, they'd be handing a free pit stop to Leclerc, Alonso, Hamilton or whoever it was that was closest to pit entry just as it was called
Damned if they do, damned if they don't.

It's not like they have any real title fight, so everyone, even Max, is probably OK with Checo scooping up a couple and they'll get into team orders later on in the year, if neccessary.

WEC felt like it lasted 3 hours instead of 6, F1 felt like it lasted 3 hours instead of 1.5. Great series. :tumble:

I wonder if it will be the #endof the Azerbijan Grand prix tbh, the FIA have got mad at tracks for much, much less, like Dignitaries being invited to the podium ceremony, etc

When Albon pitted in the last lap of Australia last year, there was also random people milling around in the pit lane.

Red Bull are at another level. How much of that is just the engine and straight line speed?

I usually look forward to Baku. Very disappointing race. Lots of contact with the wall, which suggests that drivers were pushing at times. Nothing much seemed to happen, though. Time for Indycar to save the day.

I turned off after the finish but apparently they also fucked up the flags for Max and Charles. :slaphead:

It was actually Leclerc going and standing on the wrong step and Max seems to have thought screw it and took the other step.

During the SC Leclerc reported something that was understood as "a cut". Actually, he meant "a cat", to add more mess to this race.
