I'd actually nominate Qatar as the most Meh track F1 has added in decades, and it was too hot for the drivers to boot (AND we weren't even supposed to be there either, it was supposed to be a street track by now)

The fact that track got a sprint proves they just go to the highest bidder...

Losail has fast corners so can be given a pass. There are more meh tracks like Abu Dhabi, Mexico in it's current guise and Indianapolis

I mean, Europe has been the highest bidder for a couple centuries. It just felt "natural", and coincided with where history and legacy was built. F1 is still a rich man sport, always has been. It will follow and reflect where the riches and power are shifting in the world.
Just like I grew up in North Africa watching top-level motorsports in awe on TV as something mostly Western countries did, European kids born today will watch it as something mostly oil monarchies and BRICs (and the US) are doing.

Regardless of how this turns out, the sooner Toto Wolff is out of this sport the better. People like him are absolute fucking poison, and he's not the only one unfortunately.

He should already been booted over the Pink Mercedes. He knows more than he lets us believe. And I still dont believe Racing Point was able to build a functioning car from pictures alone.
The slightest body damage already alters the car performance massively but RP somehow managed to even get the tiniest detail right.

If Red Bull did it an actually the way RP claimed, Toto would be out for nuclear war. Yet when it came to RP he couldnt care less.

It would be glorious to see him finally fall over pillow talk :whistling:

I still believe Toto will leave Mercedes soon to be appointed to the spot now held by Domenicali

And then a hostile takeover to become the new Bernie

The war between liberty and the FIA is still cold. Let's see if FIA can heat up when the races return, specially if they announce Masi back

I'm so glad this is happening december so I can just not go on the usual F1 news sites and ignore the heck out of it

Am kinda looking forward to what awkward thing the "concusseD" Mohammed-Ben Suluyam is going to get up to at the FIA Prize giving ceremony this year though

*edit* Which apparently is.....NOW?

Not sure if other services have it but on Viaplay there now is a very interesting documentary on Bernie Ecclestone. Its multiple episodes and the first 3 have been released.

It also shows his Brabham days etc.

Bernie is one of those persons whose controversies deserve a biopic of its own, from the time scamming people with used vehicles to being pushed aside from a bunch of americans. Starring Gary Oldman and Daniel Day-Lewis (coming out of retirement to play Mosley)
