Thankfully, there's enough guys on the grid to keep us entertained with rookie mistakes. I will refrain from giving any names :p

never underestimate Stroll's ability to get a car completely totaled after a qualifying session

Anyone who was interested in the writings of Dieter Rencken (like me) will have noticed that he left his post at RacingNews365 earlier this year and then went radio silent, the only activity on Twitter being a repost of MbS' visit to the Breen family after Craig's death.

Now we know why.

Mo continues to put good people around him to look after the sport.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

I can see signs of Hamilton starting to lean towards "old man" energy and reflexes. A bit like M. Schumacher in his comeback years

Hamilton had many of those moments before his Mercedes successes too. For me he´s in the same boat as Vettel. Fast on one lap, give them the perfect car and they disappear into the distance never to be seen again. But prone to make mistakes when near other cars or when the car just isn´t that great anymore.

Too early to tell if Verstappen would fit in too, as he is on his high and you can´t crash into people when there are no people near you.

So Madrid might be getting a street race, and if it goes ahead, we'll have two races in Spain in 2026, but sounds as if Barcelona ain't guaranteed after it's contract runs out in 2026. I personally wouldn't mind them trying a new venue in Spain

Quote:
The trademarks 'Formula 1 Madrid Grand Prix' and 'Madrid Grand Prix' were registered in March this year.

But with European slots on the F1 calendar limited, Madrid's impeding arrival looks set to put increased pressure on Barcelona's long-term future.

"You can never say never in life, of course, but two races in Spain is very complicated," F1 CEO Stefano Domenicali said when talks over a race in Madrid got underway.

Even if it's true, there is no way they would convict a female of any wrong doing.

I wonder if sprint races will die a natural death over the next few seasons. Ultimately it's viewership which matters and I'd be interested to see if sprint weekends genuinely receive more eyes than a standard one, but no increase in rounds is curious as if they were successful you'd expect more. Perhaps internal backlash is playing a factor.

No, this is the FIA investigating Liberty, and Liberty have already gotten pissy about it because they weren't warned in advance.

Force of habit :D Breaking news! Liberty investigates itself and says nothing to see here children, oh and Andretti can go suck it.

Seriously though, there goes Andretti's bid.

Could you imagine the uproar and sanctimonious crap that would spit forth from Toto's mouth if Geri Horner was in someway shape or form employed by FOM? I'm staggered that there isn't some sort of by law that states that a team owner's spouse or partner/sibling/family member can be directly employed by the FIA or FOM where they would be privy to confidential sporting or commercial information.

They can hold positions in the FIA or FOM but not where they have access to or are privy to such information. That just seems like common sense, even if nothing untoward has happened in this case.

All the teams released the same statement at the same time saying that they did not file any complaints with the FIA.

If the FIA is going on a "you know what, actually" based on a random article, no wonder Liberty is pissy.

Regardless of how this turns out, the sooner Toto Wolff is out of this sport the better. People like him are absolute fucking poison, and he's not the only one unfortunately.
