Croft was fussing about 6th in the championship but also Perez passing Norris took him into the top 10 in the championship on the last lap

Yep, that last lap pass negated a two point swing for Norris. Perez is 10th, Norris 11th in the standings.

Good few passes in the non DRS and DRS phases, I'll take it

Melbourne is so long away :(

The only ones who could beat Hamilton next year are Verstappen and Leclerc, but I'm not holding my breath.

Seb have a clause in his contract that he HAS to finish in front of Leclerc in the WDC?? LOL. That is pretty epically stupid even by Ferrari standards.

Given that Vettel's now officially behind Leclerc in the standings and the above is true, what are the implications?

Both teams would have to make a revolutionary step forward over the winter which I can't see happening until 2021, because Mercedes just have tons of race pace in reserve as usual, it's a cake walk for their drivers.

or cheat their way up in a way no one founds out, pretty much like Mercedes did in the past 5 or 6 years

Ferrari International Assistance at it's finest.

Renault: Car has a minute millisecond spike in power from running over a curb giving zero performance gain. Exclusion from qualifying....also Renault, your car is completely legal and have been running a system for years but despite being completely legal is actually completely illegal. Disqualified from race.

Ferrari: Big discrepancy between reported and actual fuel in the car...fined your pasta bill for the weekend.

Not to mention letting them run illegal for most of the 2nd half of the season because they were fed up with merc winning

I imagine their trick fuel burning magic will be made legal before 2020 so they can force a championship battle for a while before they fuck it up again

Fia took light on Renault, they should have been excluded. And Ferrari irregularity wasn't a shadow of what Renault did.

Yet, any help to stop this boring sail and huge positive feedback loop of success that's plaguing Mercedes and F1, ever since 2014, is well much appreciated.

Still, can't wait for some of worse of Ecclestone's heritage to fall - the power of teams to vet rules. The big teams going against Reverse Grids, cost limitations, or not wanting more small teams to join F1. Just so they can keep comfortably dominating the scene. A closer field and we could have races like Brazil ending way more often.

I'd say anything possible is ok as long they are able to defeat Mercedes
