The whole yellow flag thing has always been a joke. Slow down and be prepared to stop? Or feather the throttle and try not to set a purple sector? It may have been more sensible to just throw a red flag in this instance. |

Verstappen’s blasé reasoning is more of a concern as it demonstrates a lack of comprehension or caring (or both) for the yellow flags. Should be DSQ from qualifying entirely. |

as long he stays ahead of Mercedes, no problem plus, they'll not lift on yellows, the only solution is drop the red on a crash |

I think it was a fair penalty, given the precedence of penalties in similar situations. But I completely understand @  However, what concerns me more, is the lack of confidence shown by stewards. Once again, we were given the impression nothing would happen - just like Leclerc incidents were just noted in Japan at the first moment - and then they changed their mind after a long time before giving a coherent penalty. |

Thanks kals. Incredibly irresponsible and frankly arrogant statements from Max. 3 grid drop seems pretty mild considering the implications of Max's comments. He should've been completely disqualified from qualifying to send a stronger message. |

Also, Verstappen was last on track, so his team could have told him to slow down as nobody had beaten his time anyway. Had he lifted, he would have been safe on pole, now he had to admit to the world what an ass he can be. |
