Should be back to normal service here. I think the softer compounds flattered Ferrari in Singapore. Another 1-2 for Mercedes, with Hamilton once again taking 25 points for being second.

We've had a good run of races, but this track is so tedious.

But Kvyat is back on the grid, who knows who he can take out in the first few corners.

This track is awful and this race is 8 AM here, what makes it suck even more. No expectations here.

8 AM is perfect time for starting the race. You wake up, watch the start and then go back to sleep with tv on.

Turn 3 is decent here, but the rest is an utter abomination

Ferrari can win on Spa, Monza and Singapore so there's no reason to expect them not to win every single race from now on

And their strategy showed who is their real preference at winning races, so without a single doubt now, it's the return of:

Congrats Sebastien Vettel, winner of the 2019 Russian Grand Prix (and probably the 2019 world title since Ferrari will run 1-2 at every race now and Mercedes will probably have some kind of reliability/bad luck/crash in one of the races at least)

(OK, I think we've cancelled each other out, on with a normal thread  )

I really hope there aren't no team orders involving Mercedes

 Actually I was thinking we're long overdue a clash between team mates at the sharp end of the grid. Perhaps we'll get one here...

Probably, but it'll end up being between the Renaults or Mclarens or some other feel good result from qualy going wrong...

whatever it happens, it'll be in the first 2 corners after the start. from that expect nothing but boredom

unless Haas drivers start going backwards and a maneuver goes wrong

All Honda powered cars will get a grid penalty because of updates, they want to do it now before the next race in Suzuka, Japan.

I was trying to figure out why they did this on such a track as Sochi and now it makes sense.

How much of a penalty is it?

Can we expect to see all 4 Red Bulls starting in the last two rows?

3 of the 4 will get a 5 place grid penalty, only Kvyat will have more changes and will start from the back.

they made that "s-turn" on the runoff so tight that they'll have to call VSC each time a driver runs through and destroys it
