Hockenheim puts on a good one again. I knew it would, even if was dry.

Red Bull super lucky, but that's racing for 'ya.

Toro Rosso podium is the craziest thing :8:

Mercedes had decided they would allow Drive To Survive crew to get access to their garage for one single weekend in the season. It's not hard to guess which weekend was it.

I wonder if they'll allow Netflix in at another race in the hopes that they use that footage, not the German GP footage...

Here's how Kubica passed Russell in T2 to eventually grab the final point. Russell braked waaaaayyyy too late

One thing I was wondering - we had some showers during the race, and we had no 'Rain in the next 30 minutes' thing. That shit is really jinxed.

I was wondering the same. It will be fun to see the backstage of the most atypical Mercedes GP, but I want to see their casual stuff too.

The sight of Leclerc walking while Lewis spins makes me think this runoff was as dangerous as it was fun.

What's worse than Leclerc walking is how close Hamilton's car was to where Lerclec's stricken car was. For a moment brought back memories of Suzuka 2014...

I noticed that Vettel lost several seconds on the final lap as well. Looks like he went off the track and was very nearly passed by Kyvat. The director did miss quite a few things, although to be fair, there was a lot going on! Great race.

Now I get why he said on radio the last lap was 'hairy'.

You mean Leclerc's rears? IFIRC he beached his car by gunning the throttle and just spinning the tires digging himself further into the gravel. May have had better luck by gently reversing.

yep, Hulk also had a shot to get out of the gravel by reversing, but jammed the throttle like there was no tomorrow

So even in his "redemption" race, his last memory of it will be nearly throwing it away due to yet another mistake :whistling:

It's ok though, this race will teach him that he can get away with his mistakes if all of his rivals are making mistakes too

I didn't get that impressed with Vettel's race. He couldn't overtake Kimi and got stuck battling with Gasly in the middle of the pack.

But the opportunity came and he took it at the end of the race.

Yeah Vessel seemed pretty benign on the inters, didn't seem to have any threatening pace on them. Really came alive on the slicks in that final stint though.
Doubt he's going to have any lasting memories or lose any sleep over that last lap 'mistake'. Pretty minor in the grand scheme of all the incidents in the race. Pretty much a non-story.

And if anyone tells me that Stroll drove a good race, I'll have words lol

Might as well say Winklehock was the driver of the day in 2007 Nurburgring, when in reality it was a great decision by his team

No one cares about Perez. He is the ultimate non-factor.
