2 - A very, very bad race. Why not 1? Because finally some shitty driving got deserved punishment (Kvyat) instead of yet another 'no further action.'

Kvyat lost control on cold tyres, like so many had done before this weekend. Unfortunately for him, there were a lot of people around him when he did. This was never on purpose, he didn't deserve a punishment imho.

Ofcourse, his tyres should have been warm enough after the warm up lap, that was his mistake.

3, because it looked like it was heading for a flat 1 early on, then just about picked up with the surprise 2nd pitstops and midfield battles

Probably added a point for half-flip list and 2 spins on the warm up lap that gave the feeling it was gonna be an outright insane race early on, I dunno.

Reminds me a lot of the 100th Indy 500, huge build up about the history of the sport and what this big number means, to be met with a damn squib of a race
Oh well, the 101st Indy was a downright classic, lets hope race 1001 for F1 will be too.
AND it's at Baku....has a chance ;)

That brings up an interesting point. How do we draw the line on what is worth a penalty? I'm more on the side of the fewer penalties and I get incredibly frustrated watching F1 sometimes because damn, not every little bit of contact needs to be scrutinized in super duper slow motion... Just let things work themselves out on track guys.

I dunno, you can't just penalise for intentional stuff. Kyvat ruined an entire teams race in one corner, that needs to be penalised no matter if it was deliberate or not

Not sure why the Ferrari/Red Bull think was even investigated (or was it, is there a difference between an investigation and a stewards "noting?") but that's probably just because the teams are so tuned at maximising every potential advantage that they protest to the stewards any time anyone gets any near one of their cars as a matter of procedure.

6 - because I'm very generous because of Kimi performance and because this GP should never had been the 1000th, I hope this teach a lesson

And the worst thing about all this is, that a friend of mine still thinks this good and when I manage to make him watch an IndyCar race he says hes bored...

3. Bad race and the poor performance from Ferrari strategy-wise made it worse. Kimi and Albon provided some fun to save this crap.

But there is a huge difference between recklessness and deliberation on a harmful movement. And this is decisive to determine the extent of the punishment.

I don't get why Kvyat got a drive-trough there, as it wasn't deliberate and a 5 seconds penalty would be suitable.

That is me. I like the concept of IndyCar races, but when I watch it I yawn more than at a typically bad F1 race.

2. The Vettel - Max moment was the only interesting thing. The few overtakes were completed with DRS, before even reaching the braking zone. You just cannot follow another car without a huge tyre or car advantage.

DRS hatred needs to take a back seat here....

It's the longest goddamn straight on the goddamn calendar, all overtakes here were exactly the same sort of drive-bys before they ever thought of DRS

after a race where it was pretty much perfect in Bahrain, it was almost non-existant this weekend

3

that was bad

what a wast of time, what a waste of spending hundreds of millions by the teams to come up with this
