Overall, a much better race than last week

IE because there was actual passing on track.

If Verstappen wins it, he still has a shot at 3rd place

20 points between 3rd and 5th place. Things are still possible.

Congrats to Lewis, a deserved champion. Ferrari blew it once again. So many mistakes like Germany. To beat Lewis you need to be consistent, and that Vettel wasnt.
Anyway as a Lewis fan im happy, but i would have liked that Vettel won it, but hopefully next year

And what was the best moment of Lewis championship season? Talking every race that the pace is bad?

Probably less times than a catholic priest after getting his hands on a young boy

Pure class. Really can't imagine Lewis being this gracious after having lost a world championship.

Vettel already lost this a long time ago. That always helps. Still very nice, and rare in F1.

From an outside perspective I think this has been Lewis's best year to date. He hasn't put a foot wrong all year, and you can probably attribute that pressure to Ferrari 's (Seb's) mini implosion.

Ohh and shock of all shock, Ricciardo's car goes caput. Must be hard for him with his car's 90's level or reliability while the rest of the field has modern reliability. Maybe he can sympathize with Andrea De Cesaris's 1986, 1987 and 88 seasons. 48 races, 8 finishes 1 DNQ and 39 DNF's. Ouch.

From what I've seen Ricciardo is done with RBR. Even goes as far as saying he couldnt be bothered to drive the last 2 races.
I dont think it will come that far after he cools down but you never know.

Whether or not you believe the conspiracy theories about the engine explode button on Horner's console, it seems like Red Bull have made the break up as bitter as possible, not even letting Dan run the post-season Pirelli rest with Renault (or Red Bull for that matter). It's kinda vindicating Dan's decision to leave them IMO.

If all rumors are true I think both sides hasnt shown their best sides during the break.
Its said that Ricciardo pretty much verbally said yes to RBR, they shot an announcement video and then he said he would go to Renault.
I can understand RBR being pretty pissed about that too.
But that doesnt give them the right to act out.

it just seems like some highschool breakup where both are out to hurt the other.
Next race we might see Horner French kiss with Verstappen and as a reaction see Dan French kiss Abiteboul

Looks like RBR are still pretty bitter about that so called 'verbal agreement' they had with Danny in the summer. Seems like they've gone out of their way to make his race weekends as miserable as possible since the summer break. Seems far fetched now but given his post-Mexico comments, wouldn't be at all surprised if they find a way to cut ties early prior to Brazil.

he had done the miracle by driving his finest in a crapwagon because he has the God given right to win

about Danny, he really should just do the 107% qualifying gimmick and not race at all, and show everyone how Red Bull turned from on of the most sympathetic teams in the grid to a bunch of vengeance hungry douchebags

When was Red Bull ever one of the most sympathetic teams on the grid? I remember them being happy go lucky in their first couple of years, but that's about it.

Some of the things I read here are some crazy tinfoil hobo stuff. I could understand giving him the short end of the stick in terms of updates, parts, treatment... but going as far in that as to deliberately causing their car to retire from so many races? Come on.

This.

And it's worth remembering last year Max was in a very similar situation, with 7 retirements.
