There are a lot of dumb people around, but then it might explain why there are so many accidents on the road nowadays if people are driving along the road while looking up at the sky instead of where they are going.

If closed cockpit drivers can race with the same kind of view or even less i dont see the problem for f1 drivers.
Lets see how it goes over time.

You mean the same F1 drivers who cried wolf when the likes of HRT entered and they complained they would be so slow they would be dangerous?

In fairness, Mark Webber did some solid science against the back of a Caterham in this area

From the front, the weird colour of the halo actually makes it hard to see:

(Also hard to see from this angle - the complete lack of sponsors on the side :whistling:)

The blue's alright, it's the black that ruins it.

If the halo was blue it'd be better. I don't see the issue with the blue wings. In the can-am days the McLaren M8D had blue wings.

I think the studio-shots with the white background make the blue stand out too much. On track it looks more subtle and therefore much better.

From the outside it looks like McLaren's biggest step has been made with the sidepods. All teams are really pushing the limits on this and it's interesting to see all the different designs.

just missing the golden BBS wheels

the McLaren looks great, way better than that weird livery from last year

If that's 10/10, the real layout is 15/10 to me. Or more.

The more I see of the McLaren, the more awesome it looks. Good on them for actually listening to the fans (and Fernando, no doubt).

It's a shame Ferrari won't do that; we get the 'black wings' render every year and it's never wrong.

There’s far too much hype over that color.

If it wasn't for that Halo that'd easily be an 11/10

The McLaren looks amazing all around, even with the horrible nose tip.

I'm just going to try to ignore the halo this season. :whistling:
