New wet start rules are... pointless. The cars will still follow the SC until it's 'safe', then will grid up for a standing start.

Yeah, they make long red flag periods even more probable. Previously it was possibly to start in relatively poor conditions behind the SC, but now they're eager to wait longer for better conditions to allow standing start. For example, I don't think they would have had a standing start in conditions like Brazil last year, instead, they would have waited the conditions to improve for hours.

Rule #1: More racing, less waiting.

The most ridiculous part is forcing them to start on full wets when even a sentient brick could predict that the track will be half dry by the time they declare it 'safe'.

Yeah, this is pretty great

Just when you thought McLaren couldn't suck at anything else, they can't even claim to have the most striking livery now.

Not a bad year for liveries on the whole, at least compared to recent seasons. Sauber is nice, new STR, McLaren is less dull than before, Williams' Martini can hardly be described as bad and the Merc is still quite nice. Ferrari need less white but still, a pretty good crop.

Not great but bad either.

I still like the Brabham better.

Against the Sauber and Toro Rosso, they couldn't claim that before either.

Yeah the 1992 Brabham is better.

This shade of pink of the FI is a little too dull for me, it should be brighter. :excited:

Come to think if it. Only 2 teams now have a livery fully based on its main sponsor. Five if we count Haas and Red Bull as a sponsor too.

2+2=5?!

I like your maths :p

(yes I realise Red Bull and Toro Rosso are considered one team each).

that pink livery is miles better than the first one, liked the detail on the wheels too, will match perfectly with ultra soft tires

Seconded. There is time - B&H tried gold and then realised bold is better :metal:

So we have:

Light grey Mercedes
Dark blue Red Bull
Red Ferrari
Pink Force India
White Williams
Orange McLaren
Bright blue Toro Rosso
Dark grey Haas
Yellow Renault
Blue Sauber

I'm not complaining

WTF is this "Safety Car" of which you speak?

It's all VSC these days, Fam.

Though the statement still holds up, the VSC will turn more laps than Mclaren

Not at the start of wet races. Or actually, the first 25 laps of wet "races".
