I think low speed, high temperature and humidity is a factor. Mercs have had issues to follow other cars closely this season, Rosberg at Monza is a good example of that. |

Plus he only had that engine in because of reliability worries with his updated engine. With the rev limit, is Monza really that much of a worry as it used to be? |

Seems there's also talk that the higher tyre pressures this weekend may be hurting them as there struggling to get the super-soft's into the operating window. May be that they struggle for 1 lap pace in qualifying but will be more competitive in the race, Especially when they get off the Super-soft's at the 1st stop. |

If that's true and all the merc teams struggle in qualy but become switched on in the race this could be one of the best races of the season . Expect overtakes and many sc's. Or merc were in night engine settings and didn't push during day practice, whatever. |
