Hamilton. He outdrove what that McLaren is capable of.

Actually I thought DRS was pretty much perfect this weekend, getting people close to each other into the chicane so they could pass down the start/finish straight, there was no sailing past like in Turkey or whatnot.

Amazed FOM managed to miss an incident off the start though, that's seriously not like them.... :o

Loved Lewis' move around the outside, one of the passes of the year so far imo.
Reminded me of Alonso himself around the outside of MS at Hungary in the wet 2006 race, one of my favourite moves of all time, if sadly underrated and not mentioned that much in the usual "top ten overtake" threads we get occasionally!

Hopefully that means Lewis is finally channelling his frustration into performance on the track and not stupid incidents and off track moaning....

Hungary next week too, I'm actually kinda looking forward to it, which says a lot about the new rules! :p

Yeah 7 is about right, a tense start and end with some great highlights in the middle but not consistently action packed all the way through!

A lot better than the last dry Nurburgring race though.

I don't like Hamilton, but he's obviously the best driver of the race.
Perfect lap during qualifications, he made the job during the race, and nobody can argue with this fact.

Great job, Lewis.

Fernando and Sutil deserve too kudos.

8/10

Some very cool racing moments, and a great driver by the winner.
I only miss the rain that everybody claims coming.

What's the difference with this incident and with the Button/Hamilton incident at Montreal? I don't see it. In both cases, both drivers looked in the wrong mirror, and decided to go to the other side of the track where they hitted the other car.

The difference? Visibility. There is no excuse for not looking in both your mirrors, but it's difficult if all you see in your mirrors is the spray from your own rear tyres.

If the wrong mirror doesn't show any car, it means there's a solid chance they're on the other side. That can't be an excuse to keep moving blindly towards the edge of the circuit and just hope for the best.

I'm somewhat amazed it got much better points compared to the British Grand Prix.

I wonder if it has to do with Alonso winning compared to Lewis?

First 15-20 laps were great though.

Came back from the track yesterday evening and I have to say it was a great experience to see F1 live but damn it was soo cold and windy. I'm glad that I did not suffer a bad cold yet.
In the end I was a bit relieved it didn't rain cause that would have been a nightmare, even on the grandstand with a roof.
The race itself was awesome. We saw all the crucial passes live, the spins from Schumacher, Perez and Vettel at turn 10, the start incidents. It was amazing to see Webber and Hamilton flying side by side over the start finish straight...
I was very happy to see Lewis winning this (I think I was the only one on the grandstand cheering for him).
