Car also means driving on the old Spa ...

As long as they don't move it to the middle east, I'll probably go and see some testing again next year ...

4 days of testing in Jerez end of January.
All the rest takes place in Bahrain.

I heard rumours that there would be testing after some GPs like they do in MotoGP?

Yes, it will be on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 4 races. Most probably Spain, Britain, and two others TBC.

Pre-season testing is at Jerez and then 2 x Bahrain. (I'm hopefully doing Jerez).

Given the complaints about Jerez's surface this year, I assumed that would be the one to go rather than Barcelona but I guess it's a weather issue - Andalucia is significantly nicer than Catalunya at that time of year.

Oh well, could work ok for me as my girlfriend's parents live in Seville and the train down that way is a lot cheaper than to Barcelona. To the chiringuito! Does this place sell Sherry? (I could have done with some sherry at Barcelona last year.)

I've basically convinced myself of this happening already. If your plans shore up, let me know, we can grab a sherry or something and watch some cars.

(Also Phil, I sort of quit motorsport photography about 7 years ago but if you need a man with a camera who used to photograph motorsport and lives in Spain, I go by that and other descriptions.)

Well, that's very kind of you but there's no budget at all unfortunately.

But yes, that sounds decent at some point!

Phil, I haven't quit podcasting and radio stuff, if you need an audio recordist who lives in the UK my budget is about 20 grand a race....

Deal?

Fair. No wires crossed at all. If I head down, it would be good to meet up.
