Seeing a lot of mistakes from the drivers. Its a pretty easy track to learn, these corners are awkward enough to catch them out.

Slippery tarmac helps the track to be more unforgiving.

Davidson saying no advantage to be had by running wide out of turn 8, despite most of the drivers doing it.

Having stood down at T1 and the chicane in Canada during practice, I can assure you it's not a joke driving wise. Quite the opposite.

The fastest corner there is taken at which speed, 120kph? That circuit is just comprised of very slow corners in which most of them have the drivers just climbing over the high kerbs at the apices. If you brake it right, the only problem they may eventually face is an unsettle from the car during the kerb riding.

You say the fastest corner at CGV is 120kph...really? This circuit map may be a few years out of date but is a good reference - http://www.f1fanatic.co.uk/wp-content/u ... ealmap.jpg

I really don't understand the hate for CGV... did you lend it money that you never had back? Did it stand you up on a date?

He thought he had an exclusive relationship going on, only to see on Facebook that CGV was taking photos with other guys[/J.Morellireference]

I love it when the straights have some curving to them, kinks, or at least elevation changes that divide them in different smaller sections visually. Road America and RedBull Ring look awesome for that matter.

Flat, straight straightaways are long, boring and look slow, Malaysia being the worst offender.

China is worse tbh.

the races there have more action than the average F1, so I'm not asking it out. But, as a layout, it's the ultimate Mickey Mouse track. In a qualifying lap, they corner at 145kph in a couple of corners and 60-110kph in the remaining. In any other circuit in the calendar, there is at least a corner +200kph corner. Even at Monaco there is the Tabac(160kph) and Swimming Poll S(+200kph) combo. CGV has it's own challenges, still. It's just a personal taste, not much more to it than that.

This track is quite a contrast to that and I really enjoy it :) I hope for no controversies involving the pit entry white line, though

I think CGV works quite well because of the demands of a low downforce setup in slow corners, but you make a fair point.

I still prefer you disliking it because of a love affair gone wrong, though

Did you look at the CGV track map I posted before making this comment?

Pretty cut and dried argument from the FIA.

I wasn't aware there was a specific sub-regulation prohibiting defensive maneuvers in the braking area.

The very definition of a Mickey Mouse circuit is one corner after another at low speeds with seemingly unnecessary corners.
