Poor drivers being asked what they think of the Indian F1 fans. Really struggling to make positive comments about non-existant fanbase.

I'm surprised no-one has said "yeah, the fans here are similar to those who come to Turkey"

I actually like this track but only the part after the third corner (after the long straight).

The Tax dispute case has been delayed until next week so the race will go ahead.

Alonso now holds a record for most points? And he's put that number on his helmet?

IIRC, you need a formal invitation from a person or a company, fill an application and get a migration card once you get there.

more than that. As a tourist you need:
1. international passport with validity of at least 6 months after date of departure
2. a visa in the international passport by the embassy, for which you need:
- an invitation of the hotel you will be staying at with exact dates of stay indicated
- proof that you have health insurance for the duration of the stay
- proof that you have travel insurance for the duration of the stay
- a filled in, printed and signed visa application form in which the printed borders can in no way be closer than 3 mm from the page's edge

- once on the plane and prior to landing, you will have to fill in a migration card in double form. One will be kept by customs, the other is to be kept by yourself in the passport and needs to be returned upon departure.

in case of a stay which takes longer than 14 days, the government needs to have advance knowledge of the exact nature of the trip and a schedule of your daily activities.

the passport and the migration card is to be kept with you at all times. Failure to do so can result in imprisonment and the permanent ban of traveling to Russia. However, I understand a copy for foreigners is accepted as well.

personally, I never encountered an ID check (and I've been there for more than 30 days in total no). Controls are mainly for the people of the Caucases, Uzbeks, Azeri's etc.

This seems strange to Europeans, and I understand that because we're pretty much welcome everywhere we go for tourism in the Western world. But back when I only had a Moroccan passport, this "nightmare" was the regular way to go to set step anywhere in the developed world.

Getting the French citizenship tasted like Freedom, in a sense. My income/personality/behaviour/face didn't change the slightest, but from one day to another I got a piece of paper that granted me free roaming across the world. Strange world we're living in sometimes.

The actual reason for the delay is not the fog at the racetrack but in New Delhi. This prevents the medical heli from landing there.

So far more talk about helicopter delay and smog than the racing itself. Sums it up, really.

I hate this track, everyone is running over the kerbs and astro-turd - and gains of it! Driver really needs to fuck it up, get a puncture and hit by another car at the same time to even get close to the walls. This is the opposite of Suzuka, where you really lose time or even get damage when you get it wrong.

I hope the race would be over already.

Cancel the whole event due to smog; it probably won't make any difference race-wise.
