Motorsport UK has banned Russians and Belarrusians from competing, so Mazepin might be out of the British GP.

Elsewhere, I see that Andretti is miffed at the response he is getting from the 10 existing teams.

Which is funny seeing as he has in the not-too-distant past been calling for franchises in Indycar as well.

adding an extra team means the revenue the teams divvy up at the end of the season has an extra slice to be accounted for. teams are always gonna be hesitant about making their shares smaller

it's still douchey tho

Tbh I think having another US team more than enough adds value to Formula One, so yea... quite douchey of them

Especially if that team bares the Andretti name.

what a coincidence. Mazepin is completing 23 today and for a birthday gift he might have been kicked out F1

that, unless his dad finds way to dump money into Haas

If Mazepin was a talented driver and likeable individual, this would still leave a bad taste in my mouth

But he isn't, so it doesn't

:flag: 100%

The Formula 1 field is better off, in terms of the talent pool, without him, so who gives a shit about the politics.

Rumor has it that he’s gone and a Fittipaldi announcement is imminent.

Also, Max confirmed in Red Bull until 2028. Now, that’s commitment.

Fittipaldi isn’t exactly an improvement in regards of talent but at least likable. And name probably still Carries some weight

That's some good news in this terrible time. It was a boring track, 1 good race in how many years? 8? I know it was going to change location, but that for sure was going to be a shitty track too.

there are 3 options for replacement and they are miles better than Sochi. The favorite is Sepang, and Portimão and Mugello also on the spot

3 great tracks which should have their own date on the calender instead of being a replacement.

But there´s no place for that as we´re too busy going to every country in the Middle East, and two times to the US.

I'm surprised that Liberty still didn't convinced Baku to put lights and do a race in a time that could work better for US audiences, perhaps they aren't ready to enter into Nascar broadcast window

Sky Germany also saying Mazepin is gone. Haas are keeping their mouth shut.

Fittipaldi and money haven't been words that came together in the last years. It's a widely known fact in Brazil how Emmo promoted the São Paulo 6 Hours race some years ago and couldn't pay his suppliers.

Surely the family can't afford a slight bit of what Mazepin and Ural Kali would bring. And I don't think they have that many sponsors around their kids.

Until this moment, I haven't seen anything said on Brazilian motorsport press about Pietro taking the seat, even though it is a logical step. But I wouldn't be surprised to see Haas scrambling for a driver with a deeper pocket during the season.

there's always Colin Kolles on speed dial when you're lacking money and you need shady business on your team

Come on Alpine, pony up the cash and get Piastri in there.
