I hope this is not the end of the Sauber. If Sauber will go bankrupt, what kind of chance does the other teams in crisis have? I mean, Sauber has always been strong private team, both financially and with overall competitiveness. If they fail to continue, new regulations are just on their way and what Rencken is telling about FOM vs. nations/circuits, it really doesn't too bright for the F1.

Just noticed the grey from the 1993 Sauber and the 2013 Sauber. Is the current livery a reference to that?

why care with the Beta if you spell it with English("sh" instead of german's "sch") in mind? :p

On a serious note, is there some sort of dealine, even if not official and be it just some preference of FIA, to the situation with tire suppliers?

This is, tied with Sauber's situation, what mostly gives me anxiety about current F1 for the reminder of this year, rather than championship battle or drivers' swaps

I can't see Michelin entering F1 without competition opened and I can't see, at all, Pirelli being stupid enough to be trashed by Michelin in a competition. This leads me to think that Pirelli will remain as sole tire supplier.

Or maybe, FIA leaves tire competition opened, as in WEC/Le Mans, and Michelin still supplies to all teams because they could claim, on their marketing stuff, that nobody wanted to compete against them because they are the best and all of that....

I thought it looked wrong. I obviously need to re-learn some German...

Anyway, Sauber has come out on the offensive

Offensive indeed and something quite rare to read from an official team's statement even when they are firmly denying something....

Anyway, don't worry about that German typo because schit happens :p

Massive rumours all over the place (but nothing definite yet) that Kimi has signed a three year deal with Ferrari.

If true: Mistaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaake!!!

(If alonso is still there when Kimi gets there I mean. If Alonso is gone, smooth move)

In his current physical condition please, they'll have to build a truck for him.

I don't care. Just make it happen. If they need to build a truck then perhaps Ferrari can just wheel out an old F150... ;)

Montoya to Red Bull would be a better fit somehow....

"LOL You broke my fucking head, HAHA Japes, into the swimming pool you go!" *push*

Montoya would be genius in this era of F1, his only crime was being 10 years too old and a bit too reluctant to train as hard as everyone else.
Imagine all the brilliant overtaking moves he'd be able to pull off in this era, where being a great overtaker is actually a skill that can win you races instead of being an irrelevant sideshow

(And yes, imagine the wreckers in some races too :P )

Fingers crossed these rumours are false. I really don't want to see Kimi back in a Ferrari. That would be a huge mistake. Although he probably chooses the money RedBull can't offer. If true, it will be probably confirmed during the Italian Grand Prix just like back in 2006. Damn, I just really hope these rumours are false :yuk: I would love to see Raikkonen in a RedBull. That team fits him and his style absolutely the best.

I'm fine with Raikkonen taking the seat at Ferrari as long it is at the expense of that wingy self-centred Spanish dick, who can sweetly f-off away from F1 after managing to alienate himself from almost every top team over the past 10+ years.

I'm forever sceptical when someone comes out and says something "has no foundation" as 9 times out of 10 it's a poor distraction tactic so they can actually announce what they are denying is happening at the time they are ready to. I lost count at the amount of times Ferrari denied ever speaking with Alonso despite everyone knowing he'd signed. Same for Webber's deal with Porsche and many other examples.

"No it not happening" normally means "Yes it is happening and we'll tell you when we're good and ready".

Someone should collate every denial a team is forced to put out about a story everyone in the paddock (and therefore everyone in fandom) knows is happening...

The Webber stuff was pretty funny (though aren't Radio Le Mans smug about it now :P )

Yeah it would be great if Montoya could return to F1 but first he needs to loose some weight, i dont think he would fit right now. But i think hell stay in America and try Indycars again
