The rain really made the race exciting and great maiden win for Barrichello.

Hamilton must miss multiple races for rosberg to even have an outside shot at winning the title.

Lets just hope that Hamilton doesn't have a really relaxing summer break and come back and Vettel-2013 us in the second half of the year

(with the possible exception of Singapore if Merc haven't worked out why they sucked there last year)

I have to say that I agree with what Brundle & Davidson said during the race regarding Rosberg's penalty, What he did was on the limit but ultimately I feel it was just hard racing & I don't feel it deserved a penalty. A warning maybe but not a penalty.

I personally was far more concerned with Max jinking around in the braking zones again as thats the kind of thing i've seen cause some really big airborn accidents over the years & its therefore something I just don't like to see & really feel they should be clamped down on it rather than letting it go without even a warning. If you want to move to protect the middle/inside on the run down to a corner fine, But when you get to the point where everyone is going to start braking you really should hold your line.

Mercedes designed the car to drive on the front, Rosberg isn't one of the most daring drivers and he tries, he pull a Schumacher move that in Schumacher days wouldn't have a penalty

Red Bull on other hand races fine on draft

Rosberg might have one shot because Hamilton will change engine and have grid penalty and that might happen next race or in Monza

Why is Mercedes always telling "our cars nearly broke down" while they win? As if they are uncomfortable with winning. Rosberg is not to be taken serious at all. Also can somebody explain the blue flag to Perez? What a dick :yuk: .

Because Mercedes knows it's a big turnoff if they said Hamilton won by only giving 90%

Montoya did a similar manoeuver against Raikkonnen in 2002 (not defensive, but he was ahead in the braking zone). It's possible to force the other driver to the inside to give hi a less favourable line into the corner, as long as you're not stupid and make sure to stop early enough - which Montoya did, and Verstappen did as well today.

As for Rosberg today, he really did not show any will to take the corner at all. If he had locked the inside wheel, turned his steering to the right, or done anything really to prove that he wanted to take the line, it would have helped his case. I don't agree with the penalty for this move, or for any of this kind of squabble like this, but once again it's just too blatant, too clumsy, too try-hard. It felt unnatural and forced.

I think he could have argued he turned in later because Verstappen attempted to block in the braking zone. It looks a bit like he thought Verstappen might come across on him and put all his effort into stopping the car to avoid an accident. But it doesn't really matter considering the stewards didn't seem interested in any explanation for it.

if Verstappen played a Piquet at Adelaide Rosberg would reconsider not turning to hold position

Racing incident in my opinion, both of them were right on the edge of the grey area. Max again waited till the absolute last minute to make a slight move in the breaking zone. He only moves the car about a meter or so. But it is very late, only when he can see what the other driver is committed to. And this is why I think he is getting away with it so far. Its not a wild swipe, rather a more subtle move which I think is actually more dangerous as drivers aren't expecting it, where as the wild swipe drivers can kind of judge might be coming from the behavior of the car in front.

As for Rosberg as expressed by Christian Horner, if he slightly locked his break he might have gotten away without a penalty as the perception would have been that he just couldn't have pulled the car up. He certainly wanted to hang him out there, of that I have no doubt. It was border line, but I thought that was just hard racing. Verstappen kept his foot in it and tried to hang on it around the outside. He might have had better drive if he cut back underneath Rosberg. I think that also contributed to Rosberg's penalty.

The Rosberg penalty was an utter disgrace for the sport.

These kind of overtakings were very normal 20-30 years ago.
