DRS could really work here. Last years the car was near in the last corner, but the one detail for the overtaking was always missing. And now you have DRS,it could be just perfect to see a non-boring race.
In Croatia, some 2-3 hours from the circuit it's middle summer, and we have in the last week so unpredictable weather,it changes 3-4 times a day from cold rainy to hot, and it should be so until the end of this week,so same for hungary. Hope for some mixed conditions.

It will be 5 years since Button had his first win.

It would be funny if they had stuck it on the run to turn 4.

Yeah, I know he's mad and I don't care. I do not care. I did not care then. I do not care now. I'm here to race him.

Gonna miss this one, just like in 2006...

So if this turns out to be amazing with rain and an unexpected winner, you know who to thank.

Didn't Kobayashi gain like 7 positions on the first lap last year?

damn, after this race there will be a month 'nothing'. The good thing is we are two weeks on holiday in the Alps and the Ardeche, so I won't miss any races.

Ugh the one month long summer break is going to be excruciating as ever :( It wasn't so bad this time last year as I was preparing for my trip to Spa and Maranello :)

Yeah, but the whole month you know the next race is at Spa and the thought of that rocks.

Plus, we've had a damn good season that 4 weeks isn't a bad thing, although exam results before then :(

Plenty of other motorsport to fill the void.

BTCC at Snetterton for example. I'm sure the thread alone will make it fun.

It needs to, because the abortion of a circuit won't.

The infield is very average, with a couple of decent fast corners. Don't know why they aren't using the 200 layout though. Some of the supports (Ginetta juniors) are probably going to be taking over 2 minutes to get around!

Wrong thread really. :p

Obligatory Yay tree reference and mention of Alice Powell.

At least we have great racing track following the long break. Unlike in 2008 (however it was unknown at that time) and 2009

Not sure if this has been posted, but I thought it was quite funny

Quote:
However, the best Nordschleife story of the weekend came from Kamui Kobayashi, who always makes the trek out onto the track whenever he is racing there.

This time, however, for a special treat for his girlfriend Yu he wanted to give her a high-speed lap of the Nordschleife – and it was going to be the first time she had ever been a passenger alongside him out on a race circuit. Kamui duly paid for four laps – but it didn't go quite to plan.

"We got out on to the track and after one corner she started crying," said Kobayashi. "I had to slow down and finish the lap very slow – about 60km/h. Very safe – but it was a very long lap. It took me nearly 20 minutes.

"I think I will have to sell my tickets at a discount price now. I paid 89 Euros for four laps – and only went around once!"

That is brilliant. He should have recorded it and just driven it flat out!
