I want to go to the nurburgring this year, but only the sunday. What is a good grandstand and not too expensive. I was thinking grandstand 10 in the schumacher S, as I've never sat at a fast corner (in hockenheim I sat in turn 1 and in the stadium, but those weren't very fast corners)

i'm probably going to end up going to valencia this year (yeah, big meh for racing but the Formula BMW and GP2 guys should make up for that anyway)

wanted to go to nurburgring but it seems to be really remote, which is annoying. :(

I went to Brazilian GP last year and it was very good, but I'm not planning to attend to any race this year

When I was there all except Formula 1 had good racing. Formula BMW races were the best. The track isn't the problem, is the Formula One cars...hopefully new F1 rules could fix this.

How much are Le Mans tickets?

I'm hoping to go to a F1 GP in 2010 and in that case I can choose between Spa and Hockenheim. I preferred Hockenheim because it's a shorter track which means more laps to enjoy but someone I know went to both GP's and wasn't too positive about Hockenheim. He said you don't have any freedom to do anything and while Spa is more expensive, he recommended that one because you have more places to go with a relatively cheap ticket.

If someone has more experience with both these GP's, and possibly with Nürburgring, I'd like to read about it.

I highly doubt you'll be able to choose Hockenheim given the current financial situation there. I doubt it'll be on the calendar again

I want to go to the Nurburgring. Or any other race (well, it shouldn't be too expensive and too far away).
But I don't know who is going along with me (I don't feel like to go just by myself).
But I'm allready saying that since 2004 :( :p
We've made "plans" to go to Hungary (what the heck, why?). But it doesn't look like if it is really taking place.

Probably I will only go to A1GP. Again (will be my 4th motorsport event, and 4th time A1GP at Zandvoort thus).

Even if I was a millionaire I wouldn't go again on principle at those prices. I agree everybody needs to go to at least one GP in their lives though.

The sad thing is people do pay that much and will continue to do so. Bernie is within his rights to charge as much as he likes, and he knows that he could charge whatever and people will still go because it's F1. But it's driving the true fan out of the sport to make way for the corporates and middle/upper class bandwagon-jumpers

You don't have to spend fortune to get into the track on a F1 meeting-you just have to get up very early and find a good spot.I went to Monza last year and the tickets for 'prato' (covers all places except tribunes) was 45 Euro saturday and 65 Euro sunday. If I could buy the ticket for all 3 days it would cost me under 100 Euros. So I found a good spot on the exit of Ascari chicane (just under the VIP tribune that was 3000 Euros-including paddock club and pit walk) and the view was almost the same.I saw good action for two days including Hamilton spinning in front of me and Kimi almost hit the wall where I was standing during the qualifying. The noise and the smell is something else when you stand 3 meters from the track. The track invasion after the race is legendary in Monza so I got under the rostrum just in time to see the winners and afterwards I was walking on the legendary corners like Parabolica, Ascari,Lesmo and managed to see even the old banking-believe me it's steep. All this for 110 Euros.
I went to Imola in 85 and the same 'prato' ticket was 9 Euros-but it was before Bernie took over total control. This year I plan to see MGP in Brno and maybe Monza again.

You do have to spend a fortune if you're living in Britain

During the racing weekends, I wished that I was a Malaysian.

Last 2 years they get entrance there for about €10!
*yeah I know that they earn much less, but however*

It's the only way we get to see some people in the grandstands. People in those places don't give a fuck about F1.

That's true. How many spectators we had in Bahrain this year apart from royal family and its suite? It's a crime that F1 is moving away from its traditional venues just to satisfy the lust of few men.We should have more races in Europe and in South America which was always enthusiastic about F1 and produced many great Champions.

Then you see how fucked up this all is. We pay 1000% more then them, and even in Malaysia, they make profit of it.

Oh well... it's all our fault, we're that crazy to watch the races live. For a fortune.

Malaysia isn't making any profit fow a few years now. And in China things are starting to go this way also.
