Surely with Sky next year, BBC's features will be a lot worse.

Someone at 5Live tweeted to say it was Crofty's last 5Live race. So...

The BBC TV arrangement for next season will suit me fine. I love football, for example, but only get to listen to the Premier League matches live on the radio. I'm old enough to remember when BBC F1 television coverage was much worse than it will be next season.

But no word on EJ yet. My opinion of him has changed over time, from thinking he was an idiot to actually quite liking him for that very reason. I dont think BBC F1 would be the same without him.

Fingers crossed they can confirm Ben Edwards, because Ben + DC is a better commentary team than Croft + Brundle imo

I'd be glad to see Brundle back in the supporting role though, I don't think he worked as a lead.

EJ was hilarious, I mean calling Paul McCartney 'George', the shirts and the interviews he did were great.

Might be interesting seeing the BBC and Sky teams fighting in forums next year :p

Too much of the time EJ is a blabbering idiot but there are times, mostly grabbing important people when he's absolutely brilliant. More of that and less of the blabbering idiot and he'd be fine.

Simon Hill is a great commentator!

Anyone actually interested in meeting up in a pub and watching the Non-BBC races live there? Would save us all a load of money and if there's enough of us buying Colas (or whatever is your drink of choice at 12pm on a Sunday! :p ) I'm sure the pub in question won't mind giving us a screen....

Oh yeah, and for fairness' sake it'll have to be in Birmingham, central and all that! :p

That's only central if you ignore Scotland. Harrogate is central when including Scotland. 200 miles to London, 200 miles to Edinburgh. Sounds fairer to me.

Shut uppppp, don't ruin this! :p

Who else can say they know a pub that'll show F1? Most of the places I asked at this year treated my request with disdain and it wasn't like either the places were too busy or there was anything else on (ie FOOTBALL) that would hurt their profits if they didn't show it!

Hey, if you want to meet up in Harrogate, then why no just go down the road to Leeds :D

I'd say that would be much more convenient for everyone :p

But you need somewhere further south, such as Reading.

Oh lets just all go to whatever pub close to us we can blag to show the race and then take a laptop and skype instead of all this moaning about which is the best place! :p

I might be able to talk famous video game racer Wil Vincent around into sitting with me too so at least I won't be alone in my tears of loneliness and non-sky owning frustration! :p

"Although the two channels have agreed not to reveal presenter/commentator line-ups until the end of the season, the BBC's main commentator Martin Brundle is widely understood to have come to an agreement with Sky to join BBC Radio 5Live's David Croft in the commentary box.

The experienced Steve Rider is expected to be part of the new line-up, possibly highlighting past legends of the sport and Nigel Mansell is understood to have been approached to be a pundit. Sky is also believed to be trying to lure BBC's pit-lane reporter Ted Kravitz.

BBC presenter Jake Humphrey is expected to remain with the national broadcaster, which has David Coulthard under contract for another year, while former Eurosport F1 commentator Ben Edwards is believed to be in contention for the Brundle role at the BBC."

Seeing as the BBC 'announced' DC & Lee staying, but no mention of Ted, suggests he is indeed off to Sky

If Steve Rider is coming back then I pray to God they don't get Blundell. That combo still gives me nightmares.

Hearing from the autosport awards that Steve Rider is joining Sky and that the lineup will be officially announced on Wednesday. EJ is as well.
