What had really made it worse for Maldonado was that there was a spate of similar incidents in the series and what he did was the last straw.

I do recall hearing that there was never actually a threat to ban him for Life from racing in Monaco.

Lewis is pretty good around Monaco + shit McLaren package in 2009,10 + McLaren cock-up in 2011 and his rotten luck this year. I guess.

awesomeness but I doubt any rain will come into it. It's sunny where I live for the whole weekend, so I expect Monaco to be at least as good weather-wise.
