A bad racing series producing a bad race

Beginning to wonder if Sirotkin (and Perez in the contact incident) has raced in a Legends Car at Charlotte. Seen some of those moves some before while behind the wheel.

Boring race, but at least it kept me busy

Painfully awkward there between Lewis and Max :D But at least Lewis felt #blessed after that race.

Whenever you see a female team member, she is always young and beautiful. Are they selected on looks, or do the ugly ones stay at home in the factory?

Best fans in the world!

Ferrari really f'ed up again with their strategy. 3rd position was the best they could get this weekend.

Perez was the real star today, he added the most amount of value today. Caused two crashes, boiled over in team radio, made few good passes and blocked Vettel just enough so Max was able to get 2nd position.

These cars just can't get close enough. Hopefully next season is better.

Honestly i'd have parked Perez for the Sirtokin move just like i'd have parked Vettel at Baku last year & Maldonado when he did the similar thing at Monaco some years ago.

Letting stuff like this go as relatively lightly as they keep doing is sending the wrong message.

What a boring race, i fell almost 2x a sleep. The Singapore track is the worst. It was a spectacle in 2008, but we want spectacle on track. In those 11years here only 2010 race was a good race, this says it all.

Oh fuck off Sky, not everything has to be Schumacher Jerez 97

It was stupid from Perez but it wasn't "I'm going to turn right and wreck my team-mate on the opening lap and hope I cause the modern Spa-98" deliberate

I'd be more willing to bet Perez had zero idea his teammate was there until he felt the contact
More likely that sky's theory anyway.
The later, "burnout takedown, Singapore Slam" on Sirotkin proves Sergio has a problem with peripheral vision with cars alongside him, maybe because of the Halo, but they'd never admit that even if it was true.

But yes, like everyone else from F1 today, we're all wondering why Perez is keeping his seat and not Ocon.
It's not like Force Stroll will need the money he brings.

The mob lynching of Perez right now is a bit ridiculous. Ocon says he's holding a grudge even though Perez personally apologised to him for something that was really a racing incident, Sirotkin was going to get hit by somebody at some point the way he was driving, and some prats at Autosport are saying Force India should bench him for a race. People need to get a fucking grip.

Doesn't surprise me, sensationalism is getting worse and worse in F1. So many news outlets with so little to report on = stuff getting blown way out of proportion

Fully agree with the sentiment, it was just a bad clumsy day.

Ocon was interviewed a lot by French TV, I feel that he knows deep down that this particular incident wasn't that bad from Perez. The grudge he's still holding comes from the resentment he accumulated, from the whole year where he feels he has outperformed Perez in pure speed but it didn't show neither in the standings nor in the transfer market. Add to this races like Baku where he admitted to literally crying after seeing Perez get what would've been "his" podium, and you understand why he's bitter about all things Perez, even if Checo himself hasn't been bad to him directly in any way.

Time for more action on track to discuss. What's the next race?

Oh shit, it's Sochi.
