According to Autosport, a lot of corners have been reprofiled for drainage work, overtaking opportunities, camber changes and demands by FIM and FIA.

Race at Sepang has usually provided above average show, but could it be that the high ratings have been due to its early place in the calendar?
If it doesn't rain, it will be boring Mercedes 1-2. If it rains, it will be boring Mercedes 1-2 with half points.
Well, at least Suzuka is next.

Sepang is still Tilke's best track as far as the combination of quality racing, atmosphere, track layout, and grid girls goes. :excited:

You mean, like that race at Suzuka where he had a very solid drive against Hamilton in pouring conditions?

I dislike Rosberg on a deep level, he has no humour, can't take a joke, looks like Britney, and always talks between his teeth with that look of disgust on his face whenever he fails to answer a question or is asked something he doesn't like.

But let's face it, he should get much more credit. He is a very good driver, certainly above average, and certainly above a lot of past world champions including some still in activity. If he gets a title, it will be far from stolen, and especially with Lewis as teammate.

Even when Rosberg is happy with a result, he seems to be still annoyed by something, it's one of the most grumpy drivers I've ever seen! Anyway, I'm surprised by his pace this season! Of course we have to consider that Lewis had a troublesome start to his season, but still, Rosberg has been performing the best of his career so far in the last few races. This is going to be an interesting end to the season after the European part of the championship. I just hope that next year, this fight won't be just a Mercedes only fight.

I really dislike his need to pretend to punch the camera everytime one is put near him, and his lack of putting the heasd restraint back in at the end of the race, you can blame Antonov for that last one but it gets on my nerves too. He just seems to try too much to fit in and has that same look of sneering discontent that our new prime minister has as if he is somehow a better person than those around him.

I didn't want to start a Rosberg appreciation thread

In his defense I'd say I liked his attitude after winning at Monza. He seemed genuinely happy to win there, which is quite a change :)

winning at Monza is quite better than winning on those bland tilkedromes in the middle of nowhere

I just hope Mercedes fail to win at least one more time this season, but the other teams just can't help us on this

I'd take Rosberg over Lewis the pretentious prick, any day of the week.

Many of the turns now have a different camber, but none has as significant (and positive!) change as the final turn. They've raised the inside of the turn by 1 (ONE) meter, which gives it a positive camber.

so now a car going outside in the final corner can carry more speed to pass on the first corner?

Will it make the tyres work harder if you are on the outside? I haven't got a scientific mind when it comes to forces or the grip mechanics!

Here's an interesting insight into the repaving:

Weird that a new layer of tarmac is the talking point at this stage of a championship... :D

Corners with adverse camber are so frustrating to watch, that's partly why the final sector at Abu Dhabi is so terrible

Look in here for the photos of the modifications. Turn Two is fairly flat, no more drop when turning left into Turn Two. http://paultan.org/2016/04/25/exclusive ... irst-look/

Same as the above posts I'm wondering why an off camber corner is a good thing. Doesn't that make it even moreso a one-lane corner now?
