well, actually, yes. The red is PDVSA and thus Maldonado related.

they should keep the livery traditional, put the PDVSA just like all sponsors, only black and gold just like the real Lotus

Maybe just because the livery it's quite similar, it's fooling you to think that

The only vaguely resembling thing is the nosecone and even that is quite different(FR 3.5 much more beautiful and smooth as it's not toboggan shaped)

Interesting looking minimal front wing supports, a bit like the sketch in the McLaren teaser video. I suspect we'll see a fair few front wing issues/failures this season...

According to Marca, Mclaren will have some sort of S-Duct in the nose.

So sad as it's my favourite team and possibly even out of F1 in a not far away future. The only good thing, to me, is that the pay drivers Ericsson and Nasr will be screwed. Livery is said to change to blue and yellow, btw.

I wonder what livery Mclaren will use this year if they don't get a major sponsor until Melbourne?! Hopefully, there is still chance for a non red-white

If that is what the actual livery is going to look like, expect some dickwads in the EU to come out and try to get it banned, for the reason the Fish88 just said, even though there is no association with them.

In the previous page, there was a Marca article about it. My Spanish isn't great but, from what I understood, they will launch and run the car, in all testings, with the carbon fiber original colour(black) because they are waiting for a sponsor to define their livery.

There lies my hope for not seeing that boring/worn/ugly red-white livery at all this season.
