The first major motorsport event in Australia for 2016 is coming up this weekend, the Ligui-Moly Bathurst 12 Hour.

37 cars (including 22 GT3 entries) will be fighting for supremacy at Australia's greatest circuit, Mount Panorama, with a contingent of locals and internationals driving them, drivers like Bernd Schneider, Laurens Vanthoor, Rene Rast, Shane Van Gisbergen, David Reynolds & Garth Tander, as well as defending winners Florian Strauss and Katsumasa Chiyo, who will be partnered this year with Rick Kelly.

In addition to the Bathurst 12 Hour, there will also be a number of other GT races/events held across Australia & New Zealand throughout 2016, with three Australian championships taking place and four other 101 lap long-distance races being held at Sydney Motorsport Park & Phillip Island in Australia, and at Highlands Motorsport Park & Hampton Downs in New Zealand.
