General discussion thread for the Trans Am Series presented by Pirelli, as well as international based series using the TA2 ruleset. Those include: the Performax TA2 Muscle Car Racing Series, TA2 Asia / TA2 Thailand.

Trans-Am has made a major comeback over the last couple of years with increased car counts & more historic tracks returning to their schedules. TA2 has become a standalone division for every race where applicable, while TA1 has seen a resurgence as top drivers like Boris Said & Chris Dyson have recently joined the tour.

Amy Ruman won last weekend's TA1 race at NJMP while Adam Andretti won the TA2 race. Ernie Francis, Jr., and Andrew Aquilante were first in their respected TA3 classes.

Just wanted to say thanks for starting this thread. I had forgotten all about the series until i stumbled upon this a few months back. Been a great series to watch, a little bummed that they take quite a while to have the most recent race available on youtube tho. Can't wait to see the NOLA race from earlier today!

I don't think they taped the NOLA round for TV this year. If anything I am just glad to see the series getting more support & coverage now. This year is the first time in like 10 years they have had partial television coverage again I believe (with exception of 2 NASCAR companion events from last year which only made it to regional sports networks and a 1AM airtime on MavTV randomly)

Wally Dallenbach Jr. and Steve Petty both returning to Trans-Am competition again at the season finale in Daytona in TA2, also plans for a 2 car team for the 2016 season

Some changes for the 2016 season, TA3 was restructured into 3 new classes (TA3 (formerly TA3-International), TA4 (formerly TA3-American Muscle) & TA5) and 11 of the 12 races will have TA2 standalone races.
