When we got these new cars last year they were said to create better racing by diverting the dirty air more steeply upwards. Seems they also throw the spray more deeply upwards causing more of it being around longer. At the moment they reach the point of unacceptable visibility earlier than the point they would even use proper wet tires at. I can't see them having a proper wet race as long as this formula is used tbh. Or the new rule is to race without rear wings as soon as the FIA declares a session wet.

If they're so afraid of it then honestly we shouldn't race at Spa anymore. People are paying money to see racing this weekend and they see this crap.

When they throw Spa out, it won't be for the weather, it'll be because they'll earn more money at some Middle-Eastern track and goodbye traditional European venues

I know we go on about "micro climate" but we've seen more wet weekends this year (mainly Saturdays) than most seasons, so if we're punishing a track for the weather, we won't have many places left....

The only difference is what happened here in Formula Regional and in F2 5 years ago......people get jittery.
Look at how stupid the start of Monza 2001 was after they got anxious about the start crash 12 months before that killed a Marshal, agreeing not to overtake at the start and all that shit

That was because Michael Schumacher started some sort of petition not to overtake through the first two chicanes.

On topic of the weather: it's not the rain per se, it's visibility and the issue has always been worse here than at other tracks. Only Fuji 2008 reminds me of similar terrible visibility.

There doesn't appear to be any live coverage of race 1 in the UK. Eurosport will be showing it just before the second race though.

Why are there 2 races here? That doesn't happen very often with porsche supercup. Is it because the Imola round got canceled?
