The grid expanded to 12 cars today but it might be down to 11 now after a heavy crash for Barton Mawer during testing at Phillip Island which ripped the front right wheel clean off the car:

Tim Macrow was fastest in both practice sessions today by a fair margin actually. Rubens was 6th in the first and 2nd in the second session.

That was great. They sound brutal and it seems like you can follow other cars and pass them fairly easily as well. The field did get pretty spread out but that's to be expected given most of the drivers haven't had race experience in anything like them.

You could see the suspension was bent on the replay. Did a good job to get it out of the gravel.

Main race is on right now.

Macrow was leading but he locked up and spun into the gravel on a restart. Golding now leads from Rubens.
