Power wins, Briscoe 2nd (Which I'm glad about as that doubles my Pick'ems points haul!!) Shame Carroll, Sato are so far down the order tho..

That extra top-off for Carroll, Sato and Wilson was really unneccessary :yuk:

Well not really; Carroll and Wilson pitted a few laps before the yellow. And there seems to be quite a few cars stopped out after the checkered.

They could have run on fuel saving mode though and still hold track poistion since almost everybody inside Top 10 was on the same boat (Wheldon being the only exception because he'd been off sequence anyway).

Carroll and Sato pitted on the same lap, or a lap apart; the rest of the field pitted about 2 laps later, then the yellow came out. So I think they were slightly short. Plus there is no automatic fuel saving mode setting for the engine this year; drivers have to change their driving style to save fuel.

Nevermind; more road courses to come for Carroll and Sato to get some good results!

Race was a bit dull aside from sporadic moments of racing.

Tracy didn't set the world on fire but I imagine that its really hard to jump in and try to be quick in these things, particularly when the big teams are dominating everything...

Danica...lol What was she in the end, only one place ahead of Duno? :p

That's it, I'm getting out of this thread before it turns into more Duno bashing....

She was on course to finish 22nd, one spot ahead of Duno, but then Kanaan and Romancini stopped on the last lap and that promoted her to 20th.

Not the best IndyCar race I've ever seen. Scott Dixon ruined Castroneves race, but If he didn't, then we would have seen a three Penske battle for the win with a little advantage to Power maybe as he had a very good car setup.

I think that Watkins Glen might have a big problem with getting a race next season. The place was empty!

More like most of the IRL races, attendance from what I've seen is pathetic.

And before you ask, NASCAR's no better.

Seriously Indycars are not selling out their races but mostly there are 30-40k people for the race. Here stands were empty and the hills weren't that much better.

I thought it was a really good race. Compare the amount of passing to the average F1 race! Close race up front for most of it and lead changes on the track. Just a shame that Sato and Carroll don't have a lot to show for their decent runs.

Since Randy seems to be flirting with Speedway Motorsports Inc:
What do you think? How would Indycars do at Bristol?
