I'm not sure those drivers were going SC speeds, which was probably the problem :whistling:

Why were they racing like that behind the safety car? The ones who hit fittipaldi looked like they were trying to overtake the cars in front of them.

They had been under SC for 3 minutes by then.

Just stupidity. Code 60 would at least force them go slowly.

That's why some series go VSC then SC. No catching up to the end of the pack even with delta times.

And certain people complain about them doing that...

That could be just as dangerous with drivers looking at the delta and slowing down and others not

There's no perfect solution to anything, sometimes things....just happen?

Don't need to make the racing worse because some drivers can't follow the rules, those drivers will be just as bad at following any procedure no matter what it is

Bunching the cars up just makes it more likely a race will und under SC any way.

VSC/Code 60 you just use a button like with pitlane speed limiter.

I'll never understand what the problem is with the SC

Sometimes races have them, sometimes they don't, it's part of the lottery of life.

No series on the planet is gonna run fully green all season, sometimes events happen

It seems people only want to see green flag racing and any time there's a VSC/SC its seen as a diversion from "pure racing"

I see the race as happening over a certain time/distance and whatever happens during that alloted time distance is all good, green flag racing, SCs, red flag and restarts, it's all part of it and all part of a skillset the driver needs to have in their arsenal

Life is never plain sailing, there's always stormy waters ahead, the best drivers will overcome all obstacles and the cream will always rise to the top no matter the format

this is the time young drivers should be learning how behave under certain conditions like a full wet track and how to bunch up under SC. Don't they have coaches or proper people to advise how to act under certain conditions or all they tell you is "you gotta be fast no matter what"?

I think i've just seen one of the bravest passes in all of motorsport this season, Durksen going around the outside of Fluxa in the fast blast from t4-T9

Scary but brilliant stuff

Also the chat thinks he will be in F2 next year

Can't wait for his first feature race...

And his first pit stop
