It would have been nice if they would have just done the full race instead of that timed crap. Simona de Silvestro had the fastest lap at one point. Does anyone know if she ended up having the fastest lap? She had plenty of speed, but was an unfortunate number of laps down.

Marco didn't spin or crash on slicks and was able to pass a driver. not bad.

Feel bad for Sato, Marco and Viso they deserved good results, just strategy screwed them over...

Live timing said Marco went backwards. He came out in 14th I think, ended up 15th and was 5-10 seconds a lap slower all the way down. I think he did well not to stick it in the wall, because that strategy was awful.

There was no way that slicks were ever going to work, it was just still way too wet. Still he didn't bin it, something you'd expect from Marco.

Not the best race I've ever seen. The first half of the second half was pretty good, the end was anti-climactic. I do wonder on the crowd though. The front straight stands were totally empty, but the first turn chicane stands looked full. I wonder if they weren't allowed to sit in the main straight stands?

Anyway, Indycar has much to learn about how to run a postponed race. I do wonder how much of that is because it was postponed on a street course, but regardless of that, pick a time (preferably the earliest available) and stick to it. I don't think you can lay the blame on Versus for this one. The only reason I knew it was 8AM was because of this forum. I had orginally set the DVR for 1PM but then changed it Sunday night once I read the new time here and confirmed it on the Indycar website.

Well as for the stands. If you were there on the last day just stading in the rain to see nothing after 10 hours. You don't want to miss another 5 hours to go to the airport, pay 100 bucks to change your ticket if not more, another 2 hours to get to a hotel, sleep for a little time, wake up early, and expect to sit, in the rain, asleep for another lot of time with just nothing guaranteed on the racing aspect.

I guess Turn 1 had covered stands. :p
