I don't think they are expensive. Here in Latin America, SPEED Lat.Am. have the rights and they barely show ads from companys other than Fox Lat.Am., and is almost a basic cable channel here in Chile.

Well I don't know what they do in Chile, but I know in the UK, A1GP pays Sky Sports not to have advert breaks.

That doesn't happen here. We still have ad breaks, but mostly they show SPEED promotions about series and race schedules.

Beside that, A1GP has almost zero media attention here in Germany, the last time I've seen an article was 2007 when Germany won the championship. The article was 3 sentences long...
DSF might take over, but I'd rather watch the stream than DSF.

Media attention for motorsport in general has nearly reached zero - expect for F1 and a little DTM!

I'd rather watch the stream as well - does that mean we get it free, since Germany does not have any TV coverage?

India shows off new livery

A1 Team India has revealed the livery that it will use for the 2008/09 season.

Rather than the sky blue and white design used last season, when it captured its first two wins in A1GP World Cup of Motorsport, the design uses a more distinctive combination of its sporting colours, classic Indian blue and cyan.

The team launched the design at a special ceremony in New Delhi today, when it confirmed that Narain Karthikeyan would again be the team’s main driver.

The first round of the new season will take place on October 5 at Zandvoort.

Looks generic as hell...!

Awesome. Robert back at a good series. He should immediately quit Superleague Formula

From the side it looks like a GP2 car to me. Not a nice livery, they should have used that light blue like last year.

This doesn't sound so great for A1GP:

Sounds pretty bad admittedly, but we've heard the same kind of thing many times over the last few years and it's still going, so we'll just have to wait and see I guess.

Makes you wonder what the actual reason behind the postponement of Mugello was

Losing great series like A1GP knowing that crap series like GP2 or WSbR will be there for a long time would be terrible. :(

I wouldnt call GP2 'crap'. The racing over the years has been pretty stunning in some cases, but agree with you on WSBR.

As for A1GP, I feel this will be a bit of a make or break season for them. From reading the article, it dosent sound particuarly good, but I reckon if the racings good and fans turn out, then it will be here for a while yet.

I like the look of the India car, but it isn't very Indian if you know what I mean.
