Any speed predictions for the extra boost? I'd say single car runs without help Newgarden can rip off a 224.9 or 225.0. When it gets crazy late in the day with tows.. 228.8-229.1.

223.905, 223.711, 223.668 simulated run for JR 223.768 3 lap average sets the bar pretty high initially.

We'll probably see clean speeds a little higher than that later today, probably 224 or 225. My guess is that draft speeds might be near 229 or 230.

Newgarden on track.. should be a good test to see how fast we can go. - Hmm a few rather pedestrian 221's after he ran 219's alone before. Perhaps just testing the waters before trimming the car.

Marco got that 225.9 with a good pull from the 14 of Mike Conway. Also just after his 223.5 he almost got into big trouble in turn 4 with a slow 78 car in the groove.

So how much power do they have with the boost?

EDIT: I wonder is Lotus will at least reach 215mph today.
I read on trackforum that there is Honda team coalition that might put 3rd cars on the grid to bump Lotus cars from the Indy500.
