It means one less TV commercial with Danica. That's pretty big. I'll drink to that.

Bernard says he wants 19 races. Apart from return to Reliant Park I don't see any reasonable addition in the foreseeable future unless they can pull off another Baltimore-like street race from nowhere. Phoenix can only happen in March/April (too close to Cup race anyway) or season finale in mid-September (again, too close to the Chase race anyway). Nobody's gonna come in the Arizona summer heat and the Thursday night February co-run with Sprint Cup has already been discussed and shouldn't be considered at all.

19 races? That's junk. Series should be at 23.

23? The last time IndyCar had that many races, dirt ovals were on the schedule. We need to get rid of some of these tracks. 19 is a good number, but some of the fat (temporary courses) need to go.

You can't have 23 races when not many fans attend the races and even less fans tune in on TV.

Let the series regain recognition before stretching way to thin.

IndyCar is being awesome, NASCAR is sucking mayor balls. They won't become the greatest series in the US, but the support will come. Then, good TV deals and great tracks will slowly knock on IndyCar HQ's doors.

Indycar should take small steps, so they can make sure those steps work. Major jumps based on a small bit of momentum could backfire in a pretty big way.

Apitty that no aerokits will come. I wouldnt be surprised if we would never see them.

Regarding tracks: I don't mind michigan and Road America not being on the schedule. There is a reason for that. And Pocono and Phoenix would be just as cool!
Hell, it'S Pocono! I can smell the tripple crown!

I met an american coworker toay at work. He lives in Milwaukee. I asked if je were at the Indycar race. Despite being interested (visited Indy 500 before) in motorsports he didnt know there was one. He said he would have attended. Plus: He heared the racetrack at milwaukee was abandoned.

So, he's a huge IndyCars fan then? Promoters are doing awesome job.

If he means this year, he's lying.

Andretti did a hell of a job promoting the race this year.

Obviously not a fan at all, if you follow the sport you know which races are on the calendar, especially if it's in your home town.

Road America makes me the most bummed out, though the aero kit thing is a case in point that the team bosses just do not have the interests of the sport at heart, they only care about their own profits and their own interests and that, more than anything else, is going to be Indycar's biggest stumbling block on the road to getting back to where it should be....

IndyCar just needs to allow teams to build some of the spare parts and force Dallara to drop the prices. That's the thing that pisses the team owners more.
