I would honestly like Nico in IndyCar. And I am usualy pretty against the guys who can't get a ride in F1 so they figure they can just run IndyCar.

Actually NBC Sports Network will probably be moved from premium to basic cable programs in many markets and that will make a big difference.

Versus will become available to more households over time. But given Versus low viewership and lack of programming. It's likely Versus will remain premium channel in many markets for the foreseeable future.

The channel doesn't need name a change. It just needs more programming that viewers want to watch.

The negative reactions after Toronto made all the difference. In fact I believe if it wasn't for Dario and Tagliani taking Power out nothing would have changed, but when Power made his comments on live TV, they just couldn't ignore the elephant in the room anymore.

Sam Schmidt Motorsports announced that they will be a Honda team in 2012. Following the pattern of every other team as of late that has announced they will be running Honda engines.

Penske is of course the only team so far to align under the Chevrolet banner. It is expected that Panther will be signing up with the Bowtie Brigade soon.

Lotus has yet to announce any teams for their brand, there is a long shot rumor Andretti Autosport may swing for the fences and run with Lotus but that is so far only a rumor. IndyCar has stated that Lotus is behind Honda and Chevy regarding development, even KV group has yet to be signed up by the 'British' carmaker.


There has been talk around the Indianopolis that Cosworth has been approached by FIAT / Chrysler group about a possible entry for 2013 but its pretty much been speculation only.

There's a reason for no-one signing up to Lotus.

Well, two.

One, the engine is being made by John Judd's company, which is not what it used to be, and as stated is already behind in the development race.

Two, the aero kit is being made by Dallara, and will probably cost more than the actual Dallara kit because it's 'Lotus'. I'd like to meet the team boss who would go for that deal without any additional sweetners attached, because I have a magical unicorn I'd like to sell them...

Once again, Bahar has bitten off more than he can chew and the demise of Group Lotus as an independent entity ticks ever closer.
