But it'll be side by side commercials!

And remember ESPN have the rights to the last portion of NASCAR coverage, so they can promote the living daylights out of it on NASCAR broadcasts, which is guarenteed to get at least another 5 people watching, and the Sprint Cup series is in Charlotte the night before, giving IndyCar a free motorsport Sunday (The F1 will be on Midnight Sunday Morning Eastern Time).

Having NBC take over ABC's races (and then some) would fix that.

I thought Versus coverage is year is worse than ABC's too...not the commentary team though.

A Night race in California would be a midnight race at the eastcost and a morningrace in europa. I dont think it would be a good idea.

They should open the season with a big 500 mile race like Nascar does at Daytona. Fontana would be a good place.
