That's sweet. I enjoyed the Indycar games on the PS2 back in the mid-2000's.

I'm getting more of an expansion pack feel from that then "game".

I get the feeling it'll just be a clone of Simraceway, i.e. rFactor mods that you pay for (one way or another).

That doesn't mean to say it'll be crap, could be the best thing since sliced bread for all we know at this stage.

Just like the TC2000 and Superleague games, then.

What were they like?

As someone who absolutely loved the Codies\Brain in a Jar game (fucking sue me), I hope this can be just as good.

In Lotus news, Baghdad Bahar is at it again, with a Lotus press release claiming that dropping 2 of their 5 cars is a sign of 'raised commitment'.

Well TC2000 (Game Stock Car I think is the one you mean) is based on the rFactor engine, but its more than a mod. It's similar to GTL, GTR2 and the RACE games in that regard. It is a proper game that shares an engine with another game. SimRaceWay is actually just rFactor mods that you pay for. They have an extreme amount of money, license a LOT of stuff, pay drivers and teams money that others can't compete with, and market it well. It might turn out awesome one day, but I wouldn't hold out hope.

Wrong.

Lotus is not a joke, but is being made to look like a joke.

Bahar is the joke.

Pretty much, seeing that Lotus puts more effort into F1 more than IndyCar.

This worries me more than the Lotus situation tbh, remember it was CART trying and failing to pander to the engine manufacturers ideas of fairness ended up pissing them off so much they took their bat and ball and went over to the IRL....

Mind you if I was Chevy coming in after such a long period of Honda sole supply, I'd be suspicious of favouritism too.

Indycar need to take lessons from Alan Gow on how to handle this shiz...

They...kind of are following Gow's example?

Parity was promised, it is clear that the Chevrolet as it is is much better than the Honda unit, and so something needed to be done to bring them closer to each other.

It's better that the gap has been closed by Honda increasing performance than by Chevrolet having theirs reduced.

We will see how "even" the field is when the single turbo Honda gets on an oval.

Who are they stealing shit off this time?

Will never touch SRR because of the whole rFactor Debacle...
